About the adventure
Sing, O Muses, of the Heroes retuning home from war. Heroes who tangled with the Pirate Queen and of piety lost and won. Intro to Agon: The Pirate Queen is a free introductory session to Agon. You are a band of war heroes returning home from war, but you become lost on the journey and find yourselves arriving on the mysterious island of Kyros. Kyros is a cold and rocky isle, fabled for its gold mines. Legend says that the island is protected by a ring of everlasting storm clouds that keep the land's riches safe for marauders. Agon is a game played over a number of phases. For this one-shot, we'll play through: - Origin Phase in which you'll create heroes. - Trials Phase where you'll arrive at Kyros, an island afflicted by Strife and attempt to overcome the conflict of the island. - and end with the Respite Phase where your hero's great deeds and virtues are recorded.

How to prepare
You will need: - a microphone - a webcam is optional - a Discord account - a set of TTRPG dice or access to a dice roller - Google sheets for the character creation and character sheet (I have the template)
What I provide
- Discord room - Virtual "map" (ambience rather than tactical) with music courtesy of Arkenforge. You do not need to download Arkenforge - it is a GM-only tool that I will broadcast via shared screen. This game is played mostly theatre of the mind. You do not have to turn on your cameras or think like a tactical wizard to enjoy it. Lean into being a hero and play it up.
Gameplay details
X, N, & O are digital. Open table - you are free to leave at anytime for your own safety and wellbeing. I may reach out afterwards to check in, but you do not need to explain to me or the group your reasons for leaving.
