Pathfinder 2e Beginner Box Learn to Play
Pathfinder 2e | Campaign
About the adventure
Learn Pathfinder and begin your journey in the Pathfinder Society organized play program at the same time! This adventure is marked 'repeatable' if you have played it before for Pathfinder Society and would like to start out a new first-level adventurer. Out of all the game systems I run, this is my favorite 'Beginners Box' for its breadth of experience it give you with the game system in a short amount of time and how prepared players are to join larger adventures after playing through it. We'll explore the town of Otari and then delve deep into a beginner dungeon and learn what all those wonderful things are on your character sheet. Before you know it, you'll be a playing Pathfinder 2 like a pro, and you won't even need to read a page of the rules to get there!
Game style
Rules as Written (RaW)
Games that are ran “Rules as Written” emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game.
Learn to play Pathfinder 2 in a great starter adventure from an experienced GM and earn Pathfinder Society XP and gold while you are at it. No exposure to the rules required, you'll learn everything while you play!

1st session, Cai had a scenario that had juicy combat and some role play investigation with a hook into the next session. He was helpful with Savage Pathfinder rules and operation of Foundry VTT, these slowed down the session but he was patient and allocated enough time, really solid pacing. This was 5-star fun and I'm sure the next session will dial it up even higher.
I have greatly enjoyed playing under Cai. He creates an immersive experience, works with his players to make sure they are getting the best experience possible, and is very good at adapting to the actions of his players. I highly recommend him to people looking for a game to play.

How to prepare
All the rules you need to play Pathfinder 2e are available for free online and you can access them here for free: https://2e.aonprd.com/PlayersGuide.aspx This is officially supported by the publisher as part of their commitment to open role playing and building a thriving and supportive community. But you won't need to read all the rules before the seminar because helping you learn is what we are here for. You will need either a PC or Mac-compatible PC with broadband internet access and electricity to play in this game; a mouse with left and right buttons, as well as a third button and mouse wheel is optimal for online use of Foundry VTT. You will need a Discord account to access the game chat. The Foundry VTT runs on a modern web browser, so there is nothing to install if you have a browser on your computer. If you have an older computer, you might consider using the Foundry Lightweight Client, which is a free lightweight web browser that gives you the most bang for your machine's capabilities. You can get it for free here: https://flc.ruleplaying.com/ If you intend to speak in the voice channel on Discord, you should have a headset with a microphone. *You will be required to set up a push-to-talk button*; you are, however, free to communicate to the group using text only in Discord, but you will then need speakers to hear their chat and the game sounds. Special text-only sessions are available for the deaf and hard of hearing. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you'd like to schedule one. Bringing a friend or two would help ensure we don't need to recruit additional players. While text-only is actually my preferred method of play, it does seem difficult to organize those games. Instructions for setting up the push-to-talk button and installing all the needed software are available on my Discord channel (#getting-started), to which you will be supplied a link when you join.
What I provide
I bring the sounds, rules, vtt, and the adventure. You bring yourself and a willingness to have an awesome time.
Gameplay details
This is a sanctioned Pathfinder Society event and will follow the rules of conduct found in the society guidelines https://paizo.com/pathfindersociety You can either use your own official Pathfinder Society character, compliant with those rules or you can play through using a pre-gen whose rewards can be added to a character of your choice in the future. If you require more help with learning what the Pathfinder Society is all about, I run workshops on that regularly: https://startplaying.games/adventure/clm7zld5k000h08kx5gvndeiq
