The Emperor’s light still burns, but it grows dimmer by the day. In this chaos, an Inquisitor has summoned a team of specialists—some faithful, some expendable, all necessary. Welcome to Inquisitor’s Reach, a story-driven campaign using the Wrath & Glory RPG system, set in the far-flung edge of the Imperium. You are operatives of the Inquisition—soldiers, psykers, scoundrels, tech-priests, zealots, even xenos-tainted mercenaries—brought together to root out corruption, silence rebellion, and face horrors no sane soul would dare name aloud. But the deeper you dig, the more twisted the truth becomes. This is a campaign of tension, betrayal, and impossible choices. Each mission could uncover long-buried secrets or end with your squad torn apart in fire and plasma. You’ll investigate hive city cults, survive warzones scarred by Tyranid incursion, negotiate with Rogue Traders on the fringe, and journey into ruins left by long-dead civilizations. What will you sacrifice to survive? And what will you become by the end? How to prepare

Players should have a mic, a stable internet connection, and ideally access to Discord, which we’ll use for voice and between-session updates. No webcam required, but you're welcome to use one! You’ll need access to the Wrath & Glory Core Rulebook (digital or physical), and I’ll provide any other materials you’ll need. Before session 1, players should: Complete a character (or choose a pre-gen) Read the one-page campaign primer I’ll provide Familiarize themselves with the Wrath & Glory dice pool system (I'll also explain it at the table) Be ready to embrace the tone: grimdark, mysterious, and gloriously over the top.

What I provide

As your GM, I bring immersive storytelling, a love of cinematic moments, and a setting that’s equal parts bleak and bombastic—just how the Emperor intended. I use custom maps, tokens, and music to enhance atmosphere, with ambient effects and battle soundtracks where appropriate. Combat will be tactical, but the "Rule of Cool" is in full effect—creative ideas are always welcome if they enhance the moment. I do character voices, dramatic monologues, and use visual handouts for in-universe transmissions, cult propaganda, or mission briefings. Whether you're hunting heretics or navigating interplanetary diplomacy, you’ll find this game deeply story-driven, with a touch of chaos at the edges. Expect me to reward bold roleplay, clever problem-solving, and genre-savvy insanity. It’s 40K—go big or go home (to a hiveworld hellscape).

Gameplay details

I use Lines and Veils to clarify boundaries and expectations. Players will receive a digital safety tool kit before Session 0 and can flag issues using X, N, and O (via chat or voice). Session 0 includes: Lines and Veils discussion Character alignment to group goals Explanation of the Wrath & Glory dice system Campaign tone and expectations Aftercare: we’ll do quick check-ins after intense sessions. My table is inclusive and player-first—your safety and fun matter more than grimdark edginess.

How will character creation work

Character creation will take place before the first session via a one-on-one session with me (or over Discord if needed). We’ll be using the Wrath & Glory system, starting at Tier 2, which allows for a solid mix of mortal and post-human character options. Players may choose from a variety of factions—Imperial Guard, Rogue Traders, Inquisitorial agents, Adeptus Astartes, or even Xenos if it fits the narrative. We’ll be using standard point allocation for stats, and I’ll provide a simplified character creation walkthrough PDF. I’ll also have pre-gen options available for anyone who prefers to jump straight into the action. All character sheets will be managed in PDF or Roll20, depending on your preference. Please stick to the Core Rulebook and Forsaken System Player’s Guide unless I give specific approval for something outside that scope. If you’ve got a cool concept, pitch it! I love narrative-driven builds.
