About the adventure
This will be a simple one shot. I will be giving the party 3 fights total, with one long rest between fights 2 and 3. I believe this short one shot, which I hope we will be able to push out in 4 hours, with a small break around hour 3 for snacks, bathroom and everything else, is perfect for learning the basics of D&D, that being levels 1(the level you will be starting at) and 2.
Starting level 1st, simple item retrieval mission from an undead kobold horde. Open to questions and inquiries. Hope to see you.

How to prepare
You will just need a desktop of some sort, a Roll20 account, and willingness to learn, I would ask you learn the basic rules of D&D combat on your own, but not alone, do look at this video if able https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uwimxo__n-I&pp=ygUNZG5kIDVlIGNvbWJhdA%3D%3D , If you need help making characters before the session my communications are open, feel free to talk with me.
What I provide
I do try to do character voices and will be learning to do so with all of you, together. Character sheets will be either PDF based, DnDBeyond if needed, and the personally preferred option of Roll20, last of which will be completely simplified by yours truly via Macros meant for you as players to enjoy. I embrace the rule of cool, and try to make character death a rarity in my games. I have added the reaction healing pot rule for the same reason, it reads as "A character who is to fall below 0hp may, once per short rest, as a reaction use one healing potion on their person", and the out of combat potion effect, which reads as "The player may, out of combat, always heal for a potions max healing value". Having said that I implore the players to not take combat lightly, they too may be different than you are lead to believe.
Gameplay details
We will be mostly relying on breaks, X, N, & O, which will be via the text chat in either roll20 or any other text channel available, which does include my DMs as well. I trust the party to not judge each other on personal beliefs, traumas and such, if that is to occur I would rather take a break and talk with the involved people than have someone leave a game anything but glad that they got to try this system and hobby out.

How will character creation work
For this one shot it will be hosted on Roll20, and the characters will be held there as well. I do ask as far as character sheets are considered, to be able to see and approve them before the game, we will be using a modified stat array in all my games, that is: 17, 15, 13, 12, 10, 8 to allow for less restricted mechanical characters. For this one shot you will be starting off at level 1, and your books will be limited to official Wizards of the Coast Content.
