Severed: A story inspired by tv show Severence
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
SEVERED A Dungeons & Dragons campaign set in the world of The Four Evers You’ve been chosen. Eaglecliff University invites you to join a highly selective, exceptionally lucrative programme under the Department of Thaumaturgical Integrity. You will be well-compensated. Your work will be meaningful. And you won’t remember a second of it. To ensure confidentiality, a Severance Binding will be applied. This standard magical procedure temporarily separates your personal and professional consciousness. You’ll go in. You’ll come out. No memories retained. This is safe. This is trusted. This is how we serve. Report to the lift. Orientation begins soon. ⸻ Player Info – Campaign Structure & Mechanics You will play a single D&D character with two minds: • The you reading this—your personal life—is the Outie • The person you become during the job is the Innie—and you’ll never remember them Session 0 – Character Creation & Group Draw • All players will create a full character at level 1: race, background, class, abilities—the whole picture • However, only the players in the Outie group will know who they are at the start • At the table, we’ll draw straws to decide who starts as Outies and who starts as Innies • Outies play with full character sheets and knowledge • Innies begin with blank character sheets, discovering their class, stats, and abilities gradually through play Two Parties, Alternating Sessions • We’ll alternate weekly between the Outie Party and the Innie Party • You’ll always be playing the same character, just a different version of them • Depending on choices made in each world, some players may appear in back-to-back sessions if the story demands it Innie Sessions Focused on mystery, puzzles, exploration, light horror, and workplace unease. You wake up each session at work—no memories of before, no idea who you really are. You’ll discover your abilities by trial and error. Outie Sessions Social, investigative, and slow-burning. You live your life, enjoying the money and benefits of your role—until cracks begin to show. Strange dreams, odd coincidences, and the growing suspicion that something isn’t right.
Game style
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

Jen in a welcoming DM that allows for adventure, shenanigans, and makes room for the characters you play with to engage with one another. There are layers to her world-crafting, and I'm so very glad she helped me fall in love with roleplaying again. Can and WILL recommend.
I've now played over 10 sessions with Jen and she is a gem of DM. The world she created for our campaign is rich and full of diverse NPCs and locales that are a blast to explore and interact with. She has great narrative plot hooks for us to snag or not at our own discretion, but you can also feel the consequences (positive or negative) of our actions within the world. So far the campaign has been RP heavy with some combat and puzzles thrown in, and I find myself looking forward to each session week after week.
While I am yet to play a game with Jen online, I have played with Jen IRL. Jen is an awesome story teller, really bringing the world and characters to life with deep and detailed descriptions. She is very knowledgable about the rule sets and machanics but love creative play and realism so is very open to adapting as long as players concur. She will push characters to the limit challenging them at every turn, but with sucess comes great rewards. Prepare for a thriller roller coaster of a game with action, drama, comedy and suspense.
