Smooth, snappy, and deadly efficient. No slogging through endless turns just pure, tactical excitement.” - Yabadabadou 🗣️ “One-shot in Slaydium Arena was exciting combat, fantastic voices, and for a combat-heavy game there was a lot of great NPCs, world building, and plenty of space for roleplaying with each other.” - Elijah 🗣️ “DM created an amazing homebrew that captured all of the most integral and enjoyable experiences of DnD! Can't wait to do it again!" - Jace 🗣️ “Great story telling and environment, fun characters (I will miss Lugrod!), and well balanced combat.” - Andrew If you’re looking for intense combat or epic fantasy adventures, the Slaydium has what you’re craving. Face iconic D&D monsters in heart-pounding encounters, where you select the arena— or let the dice choose your fate! Immerse yourself in cinematic music, ingenious modular maps, and electrifying performances from your DM. Each adventure is unique, and no two encounters play out the same. My games are beginner-friendly, but welcome experts as well. I provide everything from the DnD Beyond and Roll20 accounts, to a safe space on Discord to be seen and heard. Cut loose and enjoy the fight of your life! Gaming Style: Combat Heavy, Roleplay Moderate Take on the role of a prisoner fighting for their freedom in a one-of-a-kind arena. The more creative you get with your combat, the better your chances to survive and thrive. Employ teamwork and showmanship for a hungry crowd and salivating sponsors, eager to shower you with weapons, potions, and magic items.
Game style
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
Dungeon Crawl
A “Dungeon Crawl” is a scenario where players navigate a dungeon or labyrinth-like environment for the entirety of the adventure. It emphasizes battling monsters, collecting loot, and avoiding traps to survive to the end!
Combat Heavy
“Combat Heavy” games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.
Additional details
How to prepare
A mic is required, a webcam is helpful but not required. Players will need (free) accounts on Roll20, DnDBeyond, and Discord to have full access to everything for the game. Players should have an approved PC ready before our first game, and be familiar with D&D5e rules. We *are* compatible with 2024 rules as well.
What I provide
Custom maps, access to Roll20 and DnDBeyond, my personal Discord channel, and 'cheat sheets' for those needing the rules. My storytelling is *immersive*. I use cinematic music & sound, dramatic storytelling, and recorded cut-scenes to produce a truly unforgettable gaming experience. Slaydium Games is all about *combat*, and plenty of it. You'll be in the fight for your life within the first hour of gameplay. We allow home-brewed classes so long as they're not broken, and the Rule of Cool frequently prevails if it helps the story.
Gameplay details
We'll be talking on my Discord where I'll share a Lines & Veils sheet specifically for Slaydium Games. (I already use it in the one-off version of the game.)

How will character creation work
Players can build a level five adventurer, with plenty of opportunities to level up. The game is *brutal* but rewarding. PCs can be set up on DnDBeyond, for use on Roll20 with the Beyond20 browser add-on. Home-brew classes have been fine so far, and are subject to approval.
