About the adventure
You find yourselves on the road to the small town of Phandalin, hired by your old dwarven friend Gundren Rockseeker, to deliver a wagon full of mining supplies. As you look to your companions and read through Gundrens letter one more time, you cannot shake this feeling that there is more to this journey... ___________________________________________ Welcome to "The Lost Mine of Phandelver"! No matter if beginner or experienced player, this module allows you to be yourself and just experience a nice adventure that you will remember forever. The adventure is set in and around Phandalin, a small, almost forgotten frontier village on the Sword Coast of Faerun, nestled in between some hills near the Sword Mountains. Over the course of the adventure, you will explore the village and greater region and its rich history, make allies and enemies - all for the final push to discovering and liberating the Lost Mine of Phandelver. The module is played close to as written, with some really small changes to NPCs and the backstory. This is all still in line with the established official lore - but what you do can (and hopefully will!) change the story and outcome significantly.

Matt is such a great DM. This was my first campaign ever, and I only had a small grasp of the rules when i began. Matt has a great way of teaching players through experiencing the game rather than simply explaining rules, and I couldn't have asked for a better intro to 5e. His use music, beautiful art and maps creates a very deep immersion.
