What I provide

๐ŸŽฒ ๐‘ฎ๐’‚๐’Ž๐’†๐’‘๐’๐’‚๐’š: I strive to create an immersive story-telling experience with a style that will place story and having fun before rules. My idea of "winning" D&D is everyone laughing their butts off at some point in the adventure. (To date the funniest thing to happen in a campaign that my players and I laugh about is a rouge that died doing laundry). Some artistic license will be taken regarding survivability of hazardous environments, but you should take realistic regard of dangers such as falling, starvation, thirst, drowning, etc. Players are expected to apply common sense regarding what things are said in-character or out-of-character. In order to accomplish this I utilize: ๐Ÿ“– D&D Beyond Pro Account so you have access to D&D Sourcebooks ๐Ÿ“š Tons of third party content to expand the character building process ๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Fantastic maps that set the table for your very own odyssey ๐Ÿ“„Virtual handouts ๐Ÿ’ก Dynamic lighting to brighten the battlefields and darken the dungeons ๐Ÿ”Š Character voices (some cool, some not so cool) ๐ŸŽถ Curated music to take you into the mystical and heroic past โœจAll the magic you need to have a fantastic time at the table!

Gameplay details

๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ Friendly No matter who sits down at the table to play with us, everyone will make them feel welcomed and respected so that we can all have fun. Be cool and no politics. Respect everyoneโ€™s boundaries and opinions, especially when you disagree with them. ๐Ÿšง ๐‘ช๐’๐’๐’•๐’†๐’๐’• ๐‘พ๐’‚๐’“๐’๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ๐’”: Vecna: Eve of Ruin is a brutal campaign that features the party fighting against a who's who list of many of the most iconic D&D villains. These villains are all notorious for their outright evil and cruel behavior, and while I will avoid shock value storytelling as I believe it's dull, you should expect that the villains you face will behave in the ways they're characterized, and the settings they exist in will be bleak and dark places. โ˜  ๐‘ซ๐’†๐’‚๐’•๐’‰: This campaign is dangerous. So, yes, a character may die. So, firstly try not to die. Secondly try and keep other characters alive by helping to stabilize characters taken to zero HP as a priority. Thirdly if your character dies you may need to have some patience and grace until a suitable intro point for a replacement character. If we need to replace dead characters, for the sake of the group please allow a little leeway in terms of trusting new player characters to join the party. ๐ŸšปEach session provides a 10 minute break half way through.

How will character creation work

You will be playing characters from level 10-20. Session zero will be creating your character and then leveling them up to level 10. ๐‘บ๐’†๐’”๐’”๐’Š๐’๐’ ๐’๐’†๐’“๐’: Our Session Zero will cover campaign direction and themes, the main elements of the campaign, preferred style of play and difficulty, content warnings and safety concerns, character creation guidelines, party integration, player etiquette, and hous Character creation will be discussed in-depth during Session Zero and in the group Discord beforehand. Access to a DnDBeyond campaign for character creation will be provided when you join the game, and you can feel free to discuss character concepts in the group Discord ahead of time. I suggest that you not completely finalize character creation until after it has been discussed during Session Zero, as after discussing it with the party, you may wish to make some alterations to better fit into the party's identity and goals. ๐Ÿ—ก๏ธ Characters will start at 10th level. ๐Ÿ—ก๏ธ 27 Point-Buy for stats, not rolled. ๐Ÿ—ก๏ธ Averages for HP instead of rolling. ๐Ÿงณ Your character will start with: - Standard starting equipment - 500 + 1d10 x 25 gold - 1 uncommon and 1 rare item that the DM will approve at session zero. So have a couple items selected prior. ๐Ÿ GOALS: Characters should be created with goals that they are compelled to pursue and complete. These should be the driving force of their individual characterโ€™s efforts, but more importantly, these should be crucial and invigorating to you, the player. You can share them in secret with the DM or the group. 1. Characters should have multiple goals. These goals can be connected, but do not have to be connected. Goal diversity ensures there is always something for your character to do. 2. Goals should have varying time frames. (short-term, mid-term, and long-term). Designing goals to be completed at different times helps prioritize them in a way that feels organic. 3. Goal must be achievable. The goal should be formulated in such a way that we know when the goal has been attained. 4. Goals must have clear consequences for failure. The penalty for failure does not have to be mechanical, like death or losing a character. In fact, the best penalties are story-related. Donโ€™t be afraid to make these penalties personal. 5. Goals must be fun to pursue.
