Game style
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.

What I provide
I offer a welcoming and inclusive environment for new and experienced players alike! Here's what you can expect from my games: Virtual Tabletop (VTT): We'll use a VTT, making it easy to play from anywhere with a stable internet connection. No need to worry about carrying around books or physical miniatures! Custom Maps and Tokens: I create immersive custom maps and tokens, bringing the game world to life in vivid detail. This adds another layer of engagement and helps you visualize the adventure unfolding before you. Character Voices and Music: I love to add to the atmosphere! I'll often use character voices and ambient music to enhance the immersion and make the game world come alive. Balanced Combat: Combat is exciting and challenging, but always balanced to ensure fun and storytelling remain central. I prioritize creative solutions and teamwork over overly complex tactical rules. Rule of Cool: While I adhere to the core rules of D&D, I embrace the "Rule of Cool." This means that if a player has a creative idea that enhances the story or makes for a memorable moment, I'm open to adjusting the rules to make it happen. Collaborative Storytelling: I believe that D&D is a collaborative storytelling experience. Your choices and actions will directly impact the narrative, making your character's journey truly unique and meaningful. Supportive and Inclusive Environment: I strive to create a safe and respectful space where everyone feels welcome and comfortable to express themselves.
Gameplay details
Session 0: We'll have a special session before the game starts to talk about things like boundaries, respect, and how we'll handle tricky situations. It's a chance to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe. Stars and Wishes: At the end of each session, you can share one thing you really enjoyed ("star") and one thing you'd like to see improved ("wish"). This helps me make the game even better for everyone. X, N, and O Cards: These cards let you signal how comfortable you are with different situations. "X" means "stop," "N" means "not comfortable," and "O" means "okay." I'll always respect your signals and adjust the game accordingly. Breaks: We'll take breaks regularly to recharge and make sure everyone's feeling good. It's a chance to step away, grab a drink, and come back refreshed. Debriefing: After each session, we'll talk about how things went and make sure everyone feels okay. It's a chance to share your experiences and make sure we're all on the same page. Aftercare: I'll provide you with resources like hotlines or websites if you need them after the game. I'll also check in with you to see if you're doing okay and if you need any support.

How will character creation work
Before the First Session: I'm happy to help you create your character, either from scratch or from a character you already have. If you're new to D&D, I'm more than happy to collaborate with you on building a character. We can work together to choose a race, class, and background that fit your play style and the overall story. If you already have a character in mind, that's fantastic too! Just make sure they're at the same level as the rest of the party, which will be level 1, to begin with, for this campaign. We'll use the standard array method for ability scores to ensure everyone starts with a balanced character. Specific Rules: We'll be using the rules from the Player's Handbook (PHB) for character creation. No need to worry about any other books for now. This keeps things simple and allows us to focus on the fun of playing the game! During the First Session: If you haven't created your character beforehand, we can work on it together during the first session. I'll be available to help you with any questions or difficulties you might encounter. I want to make sure everyone feels confident and ready to dive into the adventure!
