Game style

Rule of Cool (RoC)

“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

Theater of the Mind

“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.

Dungeon Crawl

A “Dungeon Crawl” is a scenario where players navigate a dungeon or labyrinth-like environment for the entirety of the adventure. It emphasizes battling monsters, collecting loot, and avoiding traps to survive to the end!

The setting, voices and pacing were relaxing and extremely entertaining. The mystery and creature encounters were very suspenseful, the role-playing was entertaining too.

He was very patient with those still learning Roll20 (Me) and let us have the freedom to make choices. Even if there were consequences. The fights felt balanced without being too easy nor unreasonable. Made great use of the environment and line of sight so you really had to think about your next move. It was a great time and everyone was happy after the game. Would recommend.

The sound, mood, transitions and pacing were great while allowing use to still have creativity. The game was allowed to become a story.

The game had good pacing and made me forget it was a one-shot. Created tension for exploration and looting which is rare. Gives opportunity to utilize all parties. Definitely felt spent with all my abilities.
