About the adventure
The famed adventurer Marilla Gnashhart is dead! Killed in a magical mishap of her own doing, or so they say. In reality a murder has been committed. You and your party have been invited to Gnashhart's manor to be the executor of her will. Upon arrival you are introduced to some of those who are likely to come into great wealth due to Marilla's untimely demise; The Butler who knows the all the secrets, The Caretaker in a forbidden romance, A niece struggling with money. But to the shock of all those in the room, Marilla Gnashhart foretold this unfortunate occurrence so put a hex on her estate and has charged the executors of her will to investigate her demise. If the killer isn't named by the sunrise tomorrow, everything Gnashhart owned will go up in flames! It is up to you! Explore the manor, interrogate the suspects, find the cause of death and be careful not to upset any lingering spirts! This One-Shot adventure is for Level 8 Characters!

About me
Hey! I'm Liam. When I’m not managing a class of 9-year-olds, I’m running games as a Dungeon Master, delving into the Forgotten Realms and beyond with both one-shots and full campaigns. I regularly run in-person games at local stores, Board Game Cafés and even a few sessions in a medieval castle! When I’m not rolling dice in person, I run games on Roll20 and my Discord server, where one of my groups spans two continents and is now starting their second campaign with me! My sessions are usually light-hearted, Filled with interesting encounters, usually a bit of combat and a good story to keep you hooked. But if you and your party fancy something darker, I’m always happy to bring in some horror and dread to keep you on your toes! One of my favourite modules to run is Wild Beyond The Witchlight as that is a fantastic exploration into the Feywild and is filled with heightened emotions of all kinds. It is my greatest joy to tell stories and I am always excited to find out what story a party will help me craft next! This was an amazing first meeting with not only the party but Liam as a GM kept the game interesting and was very forgiving with the group in terms of rules and explaining any misunderstandings. I would recommend anyone interested in playing to join his one offs, jump into one of his campaigns or grab a bunch of friends and request Liam to GM.

The first words that come to mind when I think about Liam as a GM are Fun, Story Driven, Inclusive and Fantastic at delivering emotional beats in his games. Character creation
Creating your character
For this One-Shot you will need a level 8 character. This will be with the updated '24 Players Handbook rules. Feel free to use Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, Xanathar's Guide to Everything and Monsters of the Multiverse in your character creation with the backwards compatibility rules found on pg.38 of Players Handbook '24. If there is more than one option for something, please pick the most recently released version. Included in your equipment you may have 1 common and 1 uncommon magic item. Ability Scores can be Standard Array or Point Buy. Starting equipment to be class and background, feel free to change basic weapons, and if you want something different, send me a message and we can surely agree on something. I will be available on the Discord to help with Character Creation. There will also be Pre Generated Options for you to choose from if you wish.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord and Roll20 account. A base level understanding of D&D5e. A steady internet connection and a microphone. Webcam is optional but encouraged for engagement.
What LiamLivesOn brings to the table
We will be using a Discord Server I created and use for my online games. The VTT will be Roll20pro and There will be soundscapes and music available.

How LiamLivesOn creates a safe table
The content warnings describe things that may be touched upon in the story however nothing will be extremely gratuitous. Before the game I will chat with you regarding lines and veils that you may have and I will fully take that into account for the session. During the session there will be at least one group break and you are welcome to take a break at any time if needed, no questions asked. If you are feeling uncomfortable you can ask me to pause but speaking to me in the chat or privately messaging me through the discord or Roll20. I will also be available after the session to chat about how it went and how you found it, this can be both with the group on One-on-One with myself if you wish to say something confidential.
