Legends of Orrun: The Shattered Kingdom

Cypher System | Campaign

About the adventure

The Kingdom of Arandor teeters on the brink of chaos. Noble houses vie for power, ancient magics stir beneath the surface, and whispers of a forgotten threat echo across the land. As war looms and unseen forces manipulate the realm’s fate, the players find themselves caught in the tide of history—heroes standing at the crossroads of destiny. Your choices will shape the future of Arandor, but with shadows rising from the past, will you be saviors… or heralds of doom? FAQ Q: How long is this campaign? A: That depends on the players! The story is developing based on player choices and interest, but it is definitely a high-fantasy save-the-world kind of story. Q: Is this beginner-friendly? A: Absolutely! No prior roleplay experience is needed, and the Cypher System is very beginner-friendly. And of course, this game is an inclusive space—everyone is welcome, no matter what real-life stats we were born with.

Game style

Roleplay Heavy

“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

Been playing in Mysty's Fallout: Wasteland Chronicles world for close to half a year now, and a review is long overdue. I absolutely love it! Mysty is warm and friendly as she tries to perfect the amount of attempted murder she dishes out. She has put in a lot of work in creating a world that feels alive and fluent, both narratively and logistically in Foundry. (No Item Piles, though... If you're a fan of that... I am.) Also, other player grounds are concurrently playing in the same world, on other days. Massively adding to a world that feels lived in and alive. Her games also also usually feature her sassy partner Nomad, as a fellow player, party back bone, and chosen test dummy for fine-tuning of above-mentioned murder attempts.

I've been playing in a Monster of the Week campaign. It is my first time with this system. Mysty explained the system and helped me figure out what I needed to do during my first few sessions. The adventures have been fun.

Mysty has a creative approach for blending the Monster of the Week system with Call of Cthulhu and Delta Green inspired settings, creating a story that pulls you in right from the start. She delivers an intense survival horror experience, packed with detailed investigations, immersive roleplay, gritty action, and thrilling combat. As a storyteller, Mysty is truly dedicated to making the game engaging for everyone. She’s great with both newcomers and veteran players, offering patient guidance that makes learning the game smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an immersive, story-driven campaign.

How to prepare

A microphone is essential since our roleplay will be done by voice. A sense of humor, your imagination, and a willingness to collaborate with your party and have fun are all great assets to bring along as well!

What I provide

I will be providing everything needed for a complete virtual tabletop experience - art, maps, voice acting, sound effects, music, etc., and will be there to assist players throughout the campaign.

Gameplay details

During session 0, we will discuss what expectations players have and if there's any sort content that players want to make sure is included or avoided. Roleplaying is an example of collaborative storytelling - it is the players' story too, and I want you to know that you have the power to change things if something doesn't feel right. If anyone does find themselves in a position where they feel uncomfortable with the direction the story is headed, we can redirect the scene, fade to black, or if they simply want to step away, they can take a break with no judgement passed. At the end of each session, we will spend a few minutes debriefing to talk about what worked well, and any constructive criticism that can be offered. All I ask is that everyone at the table is supportive and respectful of one another.
