About the adventure
Hi everyone, my name is Frank! I am very excited to run Curse of Strahd for you. CoS is in my opinion the best module to come out for 5e and its darkest. I am a huge fan of the grim and dreadful, having been a player of vampire and other gritty systems. I have nearly a decade of experience with 5e and have run a number of games that have gone on for years. I am hoping to establish a dedicated and long running group on a journey to destroy the vampire Strahd. NOTE: I will be using the Curse of Strahd Reloaded campaign by Dragna Carta. It refreshes and adds a great deal of depth to the setting making it engaging for players new to the setting and exciting and diffrent for those who may have played CoS before. ________________________ 🗺️ Explore the lands of Barovia and discover what lurks in the dark. ⚔️ Experience true character growth and player centric storytelling. How will you respond to being thrust into a hostile, corrupt realm? 🧛 Discover what it is like to face off against Strahd von Zarovich, one of the most famous TTRPG villains ever. 🌑 Prepare to be beset by challenges upon challenges. It is highly unlikely you will make it out of this hell in one piece! ________________________ Come and join an experienced, inclusive DM for a journey across Strahd's domain. You will be pushed to your limits and I will pull no punches in this challenging Curse of Strahd campaign. This campaign will run from level 3-14. *PLEASE NOTE* This is a horror campaign and as such it contains a number of mature themes. While there will be an opportunity to discuss these in our session 0, this campaign will only be suitable for those aged 18 and over. I have run through Curse of Strahd several times for diffrent groups so I have a firm grasp of what shall be encountered within. After everyone has joined we will have a session 0(free of course) to discuss more about the setting, and what I as a DM am looking for in charachter creation.

How to prepare
You will need both discord and roll20, as well as a microphone that works. If you're a beginner, let me know and we can work on charachter creation together!
What I provide
I provide a game with engaging and sometimes challenging roleplay encounters. I beleive one of the most fun aspects of roleplaying games is player action and consequence, both good and bad. I provide a world where your actions have effect and your mistakes can impact you. I use theatre of the mind for most parts of the game that dont require a battlemap, however I like to include a setting background for whatever location you find yourselves in to help set the mood. I also provide atmosphere and ambiance through music fitting the game.
Gameplay details
I check in with my players reguarly after any particularly intense moments in game. This is a horror setting and certain dark themes are to be expected in regards to expected from vampire infested land. I encourage my players to reach out to me if anything ever goes too far or effects them in a way that is not okay. I strive to make my games a safe, inculsive space for all so we can enjoy playing games together. Not all of the triggers listed will necessarily appear in session, I just wanted to cover my bases on what could happen in a dark and gritty setting. If any of the above are triggers for you but you would otherwise like to play let me know and I will make sure that content doesn't appear in session.

How will character creation work
We will have a Session 0 where we get to know one another, and discuss the campaign and share our concepts. I will provide some guidelines on what I'm looking for in charachter creation as well but essentially or this setting I encourage everyone to craft hidden tragedies, impossible goals, and regrets into your characters pasts. Using these apects to create a great desire or driving goal bordering on obsession that can unknowingly be fulfilled within the borders of Barovia.
