Adrift: Lost in the Veldrith Expanse

Adrift: Lost in the Veldrith Expanse

Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

In the vast reaches of the Veldrith Expanse, the Imperial Arbiter has ruled with an iron grip, enforcing law and order across the stars. Their power comes from a mysterious energy source known as Veydris—a resource so potent it fuels their entire dominion. But whispers echo through the void. Some say Veydris is no mere power source, but something alive. Something that should not be contained. And now, you? You're stuck right in the middle of it. Your crew was just another mining operation, another contract, another payday—until you were attacked. Now, stranded on a desolate asteroid with no rescue on the way, you and your crewmates must decide your own fate. Will you uncover the truth behind Veydris? Will you carve your own path through the cosmos? Or will you just figure out how to get the hell off this rock and get paid? The stars are vast. The adventure is yours. A Spelljammer game of survival, conspiracy, and high-stakes spacefaring adventure. Will you take the leap into the unknown?

Game style

Roleplay Heavy

“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

Rule of Cool (RoC)

“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

Additional details

How to prepare

Please have a decent microphone so everyone can understand you. You don't need to install software or buy anything. I'll have everything hosted on FoundryVTT for you. Please have a character idea made before session 0 so we can do some introductions then :)

What I provide

Virtual Tabletop, custom maps, puzzles, monsters and a custom experience to fit the party!

Gameplay details

Expect a campaign that is full of adventure, roleplay, and puzzles. Depending on where the party is and the quests they pick up anywhere between simple to harsh combat. The game is open world and sometimes just exploring can reveal hidden secrets and quests that could change the way you see parts of the campaign and its people. The game is milestone based and certain quests will grant a level up. Session 0 we go over homebrew rules, character creation, and a checklist is sent out where you're able to check what you are okay seeing in game and what you do not want to see. They are all private and I take each person into account when making the game sessions.
