The Haunting of Ypsilon 14

The Haunting of Ypsilon 14

Mothership | One-Shot

About the adventure

Space can be unforgiving. It stretches endlessly, indifferent to human life. You find yourself on Ypsilon 14, a mining outpost stationed in the frozen asteroid belt of Theta 66. Ypsilon 14 isn’t a new installation; it’s old, gritty, and coated with decades of dust and residue from ore extraction. The walls creak, the lights flicker, and now a worker has disappeared. No blood, no body, no record of airlock opening. As a routine cargo job turns quickly into a nightmare, one thing becomes clear: whatever is haunting Ypsilon 14, it’s not done with you yet. Mothership is a fantastic TTRPG for those who love tense, high-stakes gameplay in deep space. Its rules are fast-paced and easy to pick up, so you can dive right into the action and focus on the story.

Game style

Theater of the Mind

“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.

Roleplay Heavy

“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

Party notes

Whether you're a seasoned sci-fi horror fan or just looking to dip your toes into a new system, Mothership is perfect for you. With its sleek, easy-to-learn rules and emphasis on tension, survival, and storytelling, you'll be immersed in the terror of deep space in no time. No prior experience needed—just bring your courage (and maybe a spare pair of pants).

Awesome first session with Jorge and a great group of guys in my first online game, ever. First DnD game in years, as well, so Jorge and party helped me get acquainted and defeat some cultists!

Jorge was amazing! My family does game nights, and I suggested the 6 of us do a DnD night. It was the first time for most of us, and he was so patient with us all! Very knowledgeable and kind. The adventure was so much fun and intriguing! All of us are ready to do another session! I couldn't praise him more!

Jorge is my favorite GM to date. He has an incredible knack for understanding and bringing to life what each individual player is looking for from their playthrough. The games are immersive and fun. Jorge is an amazing teacher as well! So if youre new to 5e, you can feel comfortable with Jorge as your GM.

My party just finished up session 17 of Vecna: Eve of Ruin with Jorge, and it looks like this campaign has many more sessions to go! Jorge lets us get away with a lot, but is still unwavering when he needs to be. Games are highly entertaining and I'm enjoying his NPCs as well. The games are also challenging where I'm never sure if we're going to lose a character or not. He's inclusive and welcoming to those who are still learning Foundry VTT. I enjoy his the music he puts in as well.

Jorge made the game very realistic. It was scary at times, intense and then light and with some levity. Highly recommended for players who want to feel the game. He's very detailed and even fills in gaps for the players when they have forgotten things or need assistance. He's very well suited to beginner players who I was mostly teamed with. Betting he's also good with players who have a great deal of experience.
