“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
This is an adventure suited to beginners, it is actually a re-write of my first ever adventure as a DM! It is suggested to begin at level 1. Premade , easy to play characters can be provided for new players to jump straight into playing.

How to prepare
I expect my players to have a working microphone and camera. Show up in time, a.k.a 15 mins earlier. Access to discord and a web browser. Accounts with username and generated passwords will be given to access the private server.

Gameplay details
The adventure is going to have fighting, blood magic, dark rituals and others. On session 0, settings and rules will be discussed. There are things that are off limits from my end. And I am opened to adding limits for the players to create an environment where they only care about the enjoyment of the game. For the safety of the players, during anyone at any time can speak and express themselves about situations that make them uncomfortable.

How will character creation work
Since we will be using FoundyVTT, there are plugins that go over the character creation. In terms of start levels anything below 5 is ok, whatever the players want. We can discuss it and it is up to the group. We will go over the character creation on session 0. As well as a few house rules. Examples: Potions are bonus actions. No disavantage on prone opponents with ranged weapons. Unless vision obscured. Devil tokens instead of inspiration.
