Extinction Curse: The Circus of Wayward Wonders

Extinction Curse: The Circus of Wayward Wonders

Pathfinder 2e | Campaign

About the adventure

Come one, come all! Humble performers become leaders of the Circus of Wayward Wonders when tragedy strikes. But as these heroes lead their motley band of performers and roustabouts around the Isle of Kortos, they uncover a sinister plot to exterminate life from the Starstone Isle. The dead god Aroden may be gone, but his legacy lives on, as do his old enemies who would destroy the wonders he raised from the sea. Spectacle meets savagery as the heroes strive to stop the Extinction Curse! Players can expect a chill vibe in and out of gameplay. During session zero we will go over expectations for both players and the DM, as well building everyone's characters together, and spend some time breaking the ice. I will bring everything needed for character creation: FoundryVTT with animations for spells and attacks, all of the character options from all of the source material.

Game style

Combat Heavy

“Combat Heavy” games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.

Rule of Cool (RoC)

“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

Rules as Written (RaW)

Games that are ran “Rules as Written” emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game.

If the options to describe the Game Master let me pick every single positive one, I would. Jeff does a fantastic job in storytelling, inclusivity, creating fun and lovable characters, keeping up a good soundscape and just making genuine good vibes for everyone. I’m a beginner and he was very helpful and patient with me and my learning style. He is understanding if you need to cancel too. The sessions were always on time and the storylines makes you want to stay even longer than planned. I would recommend him to anyone, truly.

Jeff is an incredibly fun GM to play with and provides a very relaxed atmosphere in his sessions. Even just a few sessions with him, I can tell the care and passion he has for TTRPGs and running a great community. In game, we're encouraged to think outside of the box and he lets player creativity shine. If you're new to PF2e or TTRPG's in general, Jeff would be a great first GM!

Jeff is a good GM that embraces the rule of cool. He finds way to make players feel comfortable and safe while exploring their character in the setting. He's always game for a side bare to do something dramatic and help tell the story. He also does a great job managing the other players and makes sure everyone get's the moment in the spotlight.
