How to prepare

players should come to the session with a working mic, a webcam is encouraged but not required. players should join links to Discord and D&D beyond prior to the start of the session. a method to take notes is also encouraged but not required.

What I provide

Beside almost a decade of D&D experience as both a player and a DM, I'll bring with me a discord server whose community I'm trying to grow to wider player base. I do host a music bot on the server for increased emersion in my games. I will so be sharing access to a D&D beyond campaign where players can access the many source books I own and use them for character creation. Finally, I provide custom maps for many situations via owlbear rodeo.

Gameplay details

I will be asking players to join my discord server, on my server i keep my general session 0 notes that I ask my players to review prior to a game session, as this is a learning to play game, I will briefly cover session 0 information. During the session I will be scheduling 1-2 break depending on player feedback. I do use an open-door policy if a player needs to pause or step away, they can do so without issue, and we can restart, or the player can rejoin once we have passed or skipped the problematic situation, though i don't see this coming up in this adventure. lastly, I'll be hosting a debriefing after the session to hear feedback from players or answer any questions.

How will character creation work

we will cover character creation during our session after i cover the basic rules for the game. we will be using D&D beyond which is very intuitive, I will share my screen on discord to allow players to follow along. we will be covering the different ways of picking starting stats, but we will use standard array for our characters.
