How to prepare

You will need a working webcam and mic, and Discord. A DnDBeyond account will be required to play the game. Discord will be used for voice-chat as well as out-of-game discussions and quest/loot tracking. All of these will work in your browser, so no downloads or installation of apps or extensions is required.

What I provide

All game elements—such as maps, combat encounters, dice rolling, and character sheets—will be managed through DnDBeyond and its integrated Maps feature. I bring custom high-quality maps, immersive soundtracks, and a wide array of DnDBeyond content you can use to create your characters. While I adhere to rules-as-written, I wholeheartedly encourage creative thinking. If you have an idea you want to try, just let me know what you want to do, and I’ll find a way to make it work! The rule-of-cool always applies in my games!

Gameplay details

Your comfort and enjoyment are paramount to me. To ensure a safe and inclusive environment, we will implement safety tools at various stages of our game: Session 0: We'll begin with an open discussion where I will highlight any potential triggers that may arise during our campaign. This session allows players to express their boundaries and preferences on how we handle sensitive topics. Pre-Mission Briefings: Before each new mission, I will review any specific triggers related to the upcoming adventure. For example, if a mission involves a potential drowning hazard, I'll inform the group and, if necessary, discuss ways to mitigate this risk. This might include providing potions or equipment that prevent drowning, ensuring everyone's comfort without compromising the adventure. Balancing Challenges: If accommodating a trigger affects the difficulty of a mission, I will find alternative ways to balance the risk, ensuring that the game remains engaging and challenging for all players. By using these safety tools, we create a collaborative and respectful environment where everyone can enjoy the adventure to the fullest. How will character creation work

When creating your character sheet, use the following options: Sources - Expanded Rules (untick all other options) Partnered Content - Off Dice Rolling - On Optional Features - Optional Class Features, and Customise your Origin - Enabled Hit Point Type - Fixed Use Pre-requisites - Feats and Multiclass requirements enabled Show level-scaled spells - Enabled Encumbrance type - No encumbrance Ignore Coin Weight - Enabled Ability Score/Modifier display - your choice Ability Score Generation Method - Point Buy or Standard Array Before or During Session 0: Character creation can take place prior to Session 0 or during our initial meeting. Session 0 Details: During Session 0, we'll delve into player ideas and establish existing connections among characters. Each character should have a reason for joining the team, and we'll collaboratively explore your surface-level backstories. We'll identify crossover points where characters might have met, worked together, and developed relationships. Collaborative Storytelling: This process will be a collaborative storytelling effort, helping the team to gel quickly for the first mission. By weaving your characters' histories together, we'll create a cohesive and engaging narrative foundation.
