A week before the game starts, I’ll send out links to join our Discord server for voice chat and Roll20 for our virtual tabletop. Gameplay details

Session 0: Laying the Foundation Introductions: We'll start by getting to know each other as players and as a group. I'll encourage everyone to share their experience with tabletop RPGs, their playstyle preferences, and any specific goals they have for the campaign. Establishing Campaign Themes: I'll outline the core themes and tone of the game. For example, is the campaign lighthearted and whimsical, dark and mysterious, or a mix of both? Players can share what excites them most about the setting and where they'd like to focus (e.g., exploration, roleplay, combat). Player Expectations: We'll discuss what players expect from me as a DM and what I expect from them as players, emphasizing mutual respect and collaboration. Character Creation: We'll create characters together, ensuring they fit well into the narrative and complement the group's dynamics. This also helps avoid any overlap or unintended tension between character concepts. Safety Tools Introduction: I'll introduce the Lines and Veils framework and explain how it will help create a safe, enjoyable space for everyone.

For standard D&D games, we’ll use the point buy system for balanced stats and grant a free feat at level 1 for added customization. If you’re interested in third-party content, I’m open to reviewing and approving it to fit the game. This collaborative approach ensures every character shines and is ready for the adventure ahead!
