About the adventure

In a land where even the gods are bound by oaths and prophecies... At the dawn of time, a war between the gods and Titans left the world of Thylea forever changed. Thousands of years later, the first mortals arrived, carried by ship and dragon. The Dragonlords were the champions who overthrew the Titans 500 years ago and forged the Oath of Peace. But the power of the Oath has waned, and now the Titans seek vengeance. You are one of the heroes called by prophecy to end the conflict once and for all. Poets will sing of your deeds for centuries to come... if you survive. Odyssey of the Dragonlords is an ancient Greek mythology themed D&D adventure written by the former BioWare creative directors behind classic games such as Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, Neverwinter Nights, Dragon Age: Origins, Mass Effect 1 & 2 and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Join with other prophesied heroes to undertake an epic quest to save the world of Thylea, sail the islands of the Forgotten Sea, and battle the Titans. If you prove yourself worthy you may even get to ride a dragon like the Dragonlords of old! Players can choose an Epic Path at character creation that will provide additional backstory, quests and rewards. They also provide a mythic archetype for the character, so that each player can feel like one of the great heroes of Greek mythology, such as Heracles, Achilles or Odysseus. This campaign also includes six unique playable races taken from Greek mythology (such as Minotaurs, Nymphs and Sirens), as well as new subclasses for each base class.

About me

I’ve been playing rpgs in one form or another for over 20 years now and I have been a D&D GM for 6 years. I took to being a GM from the very first game I tried and haven’t looked back; running 1-2 campaigns a week ever since then. I take pride in all my campaigns having very high productions values as well as varied and interesting encounters. The only campaigns I run on this site are ones with which I have prior experience and have played through with other players, so all of the little problems and troubles you can run into will have been sorted before you ever see a battlemap! I want my players to have the best experience I can possibly give them and I’m always open to feedback on how I can make the game as enjoyable as possible.

Creating your character

I will send you a link to my Discord server and we will create characters using the Charactermancer in Roll20 during session 0. Any of the race or subclass options from the following books are available with the exceptions of Twilight Cleric and Peace Cleric: Players Handbook Odyssey of the Dragonlords Player's Guide Xanathar’s Guide to Everything Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything Volo’s Guide to Monsters Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes Fizban's Treasury of Dragons Please create a character that wants to go on adventures and is happy working with a group!

The current party

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need to have a mic as well as a Discord account for communication. Webcams are optional but welcome. You will also need a free account on Roll20. Please have a quick read through the Odyssey of the Dragonlords (OotDL) Player's Guide which contains an overview of the setting (Thylea) as well as new Race and Subclass options. Don't worry, you don't need to memorise everything, it will just help the early parts of the campaign if you have a basic understanding of the world. You can find a free copy of the OotDL Player's Guide here: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/267073/Odyssey-of-the-Dragonlords-Players-Guide
