About the adventure

The demon Treerazer has long lurked in the wretched expanse of Tanglebriar, just south of the elven nation of Kyonin. Long ago, he tried to claim the nation as his own, but the elves pushed back and contained him. Today, many believe Treerazer to be exiled, trapped, imprisoned, or simply cowardly hunkering down in the swamp, afraid to attract attention or to trigger elven wrath once more. Those who believe this are about to learn just how dangerously wrong they are. ⚔️ High-Stakes War Backdrop | 🌳 Elven Forest | 🎲 Level 11-20 | 🏳️‍🌈+ GM

Somnus is an absolutely incredible GM and a joy to play with. They put so much effort into setting the scene, RP-ing NPCs and doing their voices, which is why I'm feeling so immersed into the world and setting every single time. Somnus is also very talented at using Foundry and made the onboarding process a total breeze, even for a total newbie to the system and VTT like me. I'm currently playing in three of their games and I still wish it were more.

Put simply, Somnus is one of my all time favorite GMs. Before I joined the first of the three games I now play with them my pf2e knowledge was limited to say the least. I knew next to nothing about the system and how to build a "functional" character. Between their extensive knowledge and extreme patience they've made the learning process easy, engaging and beyond welcoming. Coming from a long background of d&d, I'd never imagined the transition through systems could be so smooth. The tags StartPlaying allows me to assign to this review can't cover the scope of everything I appreciate about their games. Foundry is an incredible medium, and Somnus utilizes it with expertise I've not seen anywhere else. Their music selection and narrative skills set the scene and tone absolutely perfectly each and every time. The list goes on. The long and short of it is, I couldn't recommend Somnus enough. They're the best, their server community is full of amazing people, and the games I play with them have become an undeniable highlight to my week. GM skills so good, they'll make your brain explode. Hwah.

Somnus has been a wonderful DM for our group, they accommodate for our varying experience levels with DND 5e, and lets us be creative in all aspects of play. They developed an exciting world to play in as well. We've gotten everything from combat, investigating, sneaking around, and negotiating with NPCs during our sessions so far. We intend to keep playing with them as our DM for a long time. Our initial starting quest has quickly developed into an exciting adventure involving all of these things. I would absolutely recommend Somnus as a DM for any group looking to play DND, Pathfinder, or several other settings they run.

Somus is a really helpful Gm, I am a new player to pathfinder and they was a great help in guiding me towards a character I would like to play and help me understand the concepts in the game. They are also great at giving each character the time needed to shine

Somnus has been such an incredible GM for me. I am a relative newbie to RPGs, having only had a little bit of experience with DnD5e previously. I have now been playing in Season of Ghosts PF2e for five months or so, and it's been a fantastic introduction to Pathfinder. From session 0 on, Somnus has always been patient, supportive, and encouraging. They do a wonderful job of empowering players to make decisions, while helping educate us on what our options are. Somnus’ characters are engaging, memorable, and the situations evolve organically with every choice we players make. I’ve enjoyed having Somnus as a GM so much that I’m playing in a second game with them as well. Somnus pays particular attention to making sure that every player has a moment to shine, which makes for a fun, inclusive vibe. I can't recommend Somnus enough!

Character creation
Creating your character

Character Creation: • Ask about any Uncommon or Rare options. The Player Guide has changed some Uncommon options into Common. • No variant or optional rules are being used. • Starting Treasure/Wealth for your PC is Level 11. You may choose either a Lump Sum OR the Permanent Items + Currency: https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=2662&Redirected=1 • We'll have a Session 0 to discuss creating a cohesive group of characters, making connections to each other, and why you come to this land of elves. • If you'd prefer, you can choose from a selection of premade characters that are suited to the adventure and setting. You can then change the name and backstory of them if you'd like to personalise further. • To tie your character to the setting and scenario, I encourage you to look at the official Player Guide for this adventure: https://downloads.paizo.com/SporeWar_PlayersGuide.pdf • We will use FoundryVTT or Pathbuilder to create our characters (Those that use https://pathbuilder2e.com/ will be able to import into Foundry). • Anyone that joins later or needs to create a new character, will make a character at the party's current level or choose a premade one and level it up. Before the next game session, I will have a paid private discussion with you that substitutes the Session 0 you missed. If you join just before the next session and I don't have enough time to talk to you, you'll skip and join the session after.

The current party

Character Creation: Currently Level 13 • Variant Rules Used: Free Archetype (No Multiclass Archetypes) • Ask about any Uncommon or Rare options. • Starting Character Wealth is Level 11. You may choose either a Lump Sum OR the Permanent Items + Currency and then buy your items: https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=2662&Redirected=1

What to expect
Preparing for the session

• Discord account to talk and text. • Free Forge account to play from a web browser: https://forge-vtt.com/ • Clear microphone with either a quiet background or at least push-to-talk. • Encouraged to use a Webcam but it isn't needed. If you do, follow standard video call etiquette.
