About the adventure

"Each stroke of my brush tells a story they refuse to see. Soon, all of Antashire will understand the price of their illusions." — The Painter 🖌️ Grisly murders disturb the fragile peace of Antashire. A killer known only as "The Painter" leaves noble victims arranged in grotesque displays. 🖌️ 🎭 The throne is desperate. The city trembles. Shadows whisper of secrets buried deep. 🎭 🏰 From the lavish estates of the elite to the crime-ridden alleys of the slums, no one is beyond suspicion. 🏰 🕵️‍♂️ Every clue unravels another layer of deception. Truth and lies twist together—will you cut through the illusion or become ensnared? 🕵️‍♂️ ⚖️ Justice or chaos—the choice is yours. ⚖️ WHAT AWAITS YOU: 🔍 Investigate chilling crime scenes under the watchful eyes of the crown. 🎨 Unravel the twisted artistry of a murderer who paints with blood. 🤝 Navigate a city of liars and manipulators—who will you trust? 🎭 Infiltrate noble courts and criminal syndicates in a deadly game of masks. ⚔️ Your choices will shape the fate of Antashire. Will you restore order, or rewrite the city's future in your own image? Antashire is a city of opulence and decay, where the glint of polished marble cannot hide the blood staining the streets. The Painter’s crimes are a challenge—a taunt to the throne itself. The crown demands justice, summoning all who dare to uncover the truth. But beneath the surface, something far more insidious festers. Whispers of conspiracy coil through the court, and unseen hands pull the strings. You stand at the edge of a mystery that could shake the kingdom. Will you unmask The Painter, or will the city’s web of lies consume you?

As a DM, Davogn excels in twists, turns, and surprises in his plot points. Everything that happens in his campaign has a reason or a motive behind it that comes up later in the story. His worlds allow for all kinds of characters and backstories, from a fallen knight to an urchin in the streets of an impoverished city. Overall, he is an outstanding and flexible DM to play with, and ensures everyone has a chance to have a great time.

Davogn is a brilliant DM who puts a lot of effort into the game as well as working with the players and their characters. He's just as fun as he is professional and cares a lot for the table's enjoyment. When it comes to rules and general in-game knowledge, he's reliable and patient. The maps are high quality, the immersive music hooks you right in and the setting is rich with flavour and lore.

Davogn is an awesome DM and as good as he is a DM he is a person. The sessions I played with him were really cool and talking with him also is a pleasure. Playing with him is the right decision, sadly I had to quit due to a array of personal stuff going on. Give him a try!

Gameplay details

This is a who-done-it type of campaign, with many mysterious killings to investigate and a lot of dark secrets to uncover. The entirety of the campaign takes place in Antashire, one of the largest cities of Malondria and, as such, player relations with NPCs in the city -be it individuals or guilds/factions- are of tremendous importance. Therefore, this campaign is very Role-play heavy. Players are also able to act with complete freedom (I am sure some of you would rather aid serial killers than stop them, this is our fantasy world after all) and thus, the story can end in many different ways, which adds a lot to its depth and its replayability. Lines and Veils will be discussed during Session 0 to ensure everyone is comfortable with the content available in this campaign, and we will go over everyone's X's, N's and O's to guarantee a safe and enjoyable environment!

How will character creation work

Character creation will take place as part of Session 0 (or a one-to-one character creation before your first session if joining later in the campaign) so you should not worry if this is your first time creating a character! Otherwise, if you would prefer, there are pre-made characters available for you.
