New and experienced players welcome. If you have ever wanted to be a character in the John Carpenter movie "Escape from New York" starring Kurt Russell doing his best Clint Eastwood impression? This is your chance. Its a quick 3 to 5 hour game and we will be using the Everyday Heroes Core Rules. I will have 4th level pregens ready to go! I will be using Foundry VTT and Discord. The Adventure In 1988, the crime rate in the United States rose by more than 400 percent. New York City, the site of a massive nerve gas attack by the Soviet Union, is transformed into a maximum-security prison, covering all the incarceration requirements of the United States. Sealed off from the world by a 50-foot containment wall, it is a society in and of itself. Once you go in, you never come back. Liberty Island is transformed into the main security control checkpoint for the United States Police Force. Like an army, they’re encamped around the city and protect the nation from the scum locked away inside. Once you go in you never come out.... Chaos grips America. Not even martial law can curtail the anarchy as society falls apart and gangs of “crazies” – victims of Reagent 18 – roam the land. Life is brutal and short. Inside New York Max, things are even worse. The Duke rules with a mixture of political guile and unsparing violence. By keeping himself above the gang structure of the prison, the Duke has kept the tension just below the boiling point. The heroes are prisoners who, because of their lack of gang ties, have been tasked by the Duke to carry a package across the city. And when the Duke asks, you don’t say no....
