About me

Greetings, fellow adventurers! I’m Gerik, your dedicated Pathfinder 2e Game Master! For years, I’ve been immersed in the world of Golarion, guiding brave heroes through its fantastical world. I bring a blend of creativity, humor, and immersive storytelling to every session. I take heavy inspiration from shows like Narrative Declaration/Glass Cannon Podcast, and look to foster a table community where everyone can laugh together and feel welcome. I have been described as theatrical, high-energy, and a bit of a madman when playing a nefarious villain. But above all, I am a GM who wants you to have a good time, and I'll do my best to make that happen! But don't just take my word for it, check out my reviews to see what others have to say!

Gerik is a great GM and I hope to play a new campaign with him soon. He is very passionate about his games - He goes all in with his characters, really bringing them to life. Every player gets their time in the spotlight, and the custom maps are fantastic. He knows the rules well and keeps the game moving quickly. If you are looking for a new GM, look no further.

This was an absolute blast! Great way to learn PF2e - very supportive, and the scenario was great for learning the breadth of things to do. The tools used on Foundry were very helpful to minimize complexity, although it was clear that if we chose, we could get MUCH more complex - but didn't have to. A total blast!

Honestly Gerik's games are some of the most fun I've had in years playing TTRPGs. He knows the rules well and is an absolutely amazing storyteller/GM. His use of Foundry VTT makes the games run smooth with next to no issue. Combine that with his excellent use of in-game music, audio queues, & voices and you have the recipe for a perfect game. These games are truly the highlight of my week and I always look forward to the next!

STOP scrolling. Congratulations! You've found the one. This guy is in every sense of the idea a professional GM. The Running of Foundry, Maps, Art, Music and game plugins are all better than I have ever experienced; and the man's RP has me flinching in terror, roaring in victory, or belly laughing at some NPC doing the worm. And I'm beginning to really root for our character's as they try and make their live's into something. Saturdays are suddenly a day to step into a fantastic and dangerous world for a a few hours. As far as experience with beginners; I had played a bit of PF2E before my current game with G (Sky King's Tomb adventure path), and no Foundry use to speak of, but within two sessions or so I felt very comfortable with the systems of play. And in no small part to Gerik's patience with my learning. Getting going in the game has been so comfortable. The level's of RP are very adjustable so far. Gerik seems to pay a lot of attention to each person's level of enthusiasm for RP, and I've gotten a lot of opportunity to RP out my weird little excitement to be an old timey Barber/Survivalist (thats a weird combo now that I write it out..). The combat has been on the challenging side from my experience. I didn't have to minmax my character to the N'th degree, but thoughtful preparation has been essential so far. And boy howdy does G have an affinity for wicked traps. I've gotten by on more encounters than I can count with a handful of hitpoints or less. And now I have an unbridled hatred for evil Mushroom people, thanks a bunch for that one G! (haha, but seriously dude...) I'm not sure how else to really sell you on the guy. He's constantly cranking out new stuff, and updating old AP's so I guess if you see an AP that he's running all I can do is tell you to click that yes button. It's some of the best money I can spend for my time every single week. And I couldn't be happier with it. (unless you join the 4th slot for our Sky King's Tomb game happening every Saturday, that'd make it better)

I picked Gerik as a GM for a beginner campaign to get used to Pathfinder 2e (which was new to me) as well as Foundry VTT. I always have a good time, and he keeps things moving but also gives everyone a chance to contribute with roleplay as well if they want to. He's got a good sense of the rules (and sense of humor!). Friendly and patient as well. Highly recommended!

I’m currently playing in one of Gerik’s campaign and his one-shots, and each session is a guaranteed good time. He adds a ton of personality to the encounters with his voices and memorable enemies and the added effect animations make you hype for battle. His encounters also offer a challenge that tests your group’s teamwork and his utilization of everything Pathfinder 2e has to offer makes each creature you fight have something special to them. He’s also open to character shenanigans and often even encourages us to just have fun, but also helps us keep up to task. Also a shout out to his assistant GM who not only helps the session run smoothly but also makes dynamic and stunning maps that make you want to run around and see all the details they placed in to make you even more immersed in the setting. I recommend beginners and experienced players alike to give these cool and awesome people a shot, and hope to see new faces in Gerik’s guild!

What to expect
Preparing for the session

Reading the Blood Lords players' guide is a must: https://downloads.paizo.com/BloodLords_PlayersGuide.pdf Players can expect an adventure that focuses on the complex politics of the nation of Geb, and what it is like to ascend to power in a nation ruled by the undead. Combat can't be the only path to power though. Players will need to be shrewd and pick sides in the never-ending web of politics that can only come from a situation where everyone involved has all the time in the world to scheme. Players should be comfortable with RPing with their fellow players and NPCs as socializing will play a large role in this campaign. Getting into a roleplaying mindset!

What Gerik brings to the table

A GM style that focuses on character-driven narratives. Players in my games are encouraged to explore their characters' motivations and personal growth, and how their unique personalities, values, and desires shape their actions and evolve. Curated Foundry modules designed to streamline the Foundry VTT experience. Added emphasis on individual players' goals as they seek their position as Blood Lords. Additional content/mechanics to drive home the political intrigue theme. Curated sound design to set the mood.

Homebrew rules

Inspired by Daggerheart, I have the following modified death mechanics: When a player character is about to die, they have an opportunity to make one of the following death moves. 1. Blaze of Glory: Your character embraces death and goes out in a blaze of glory. Take one action (at the GM’s discretion), which critically succeeds, then cross through the veil of death. 2. Avoid Death: Your character avoids death and faces the consequences. They temporarily drop unconscious, and then you work with the GM to describe how the situation worsens. Your character can’t move or act while unconscious, they can’t be targeted by an attack, and they return to consciousness when an ally heals their wounds or when the party finishes a long rest. After your character falls unconscious, roll a d20. If its value is equal to or under your character’s level, they gain a scar. The scar is represented mechanically by a permanent, doomed condition.
