About the adventure
She knows better than most the malleable nature of fate within the mists of Barovia. She has heard the rumors of more playthings to be brought in for Count Strahd von Zarovich's amusement and as she has done many times before, she pulls the cards for their fate. Where will they find aid and where will they find their danger. She wonders if they will be the ones to survive. If they will be the ones to find a way home. Patterns say that they will perish within the mists. But fate and patterns are not the same thing as she well knows. As Madam Eva sets down her last card, she believes that fate may finally overcome pattern. ~~~ Curse of Strahd is well known. A game of gothic horror and an oppressive atmosphere amongst the mists of Barovia. Its a land where it is hard to find the light. Perhaps you will finally be that light. Or perhaps you will seek the darkness for your own ends. Maybe you are just unfortunate and are trying to find your best means to survive. Wander into the mists and figure out what fate has in store for you. Newbies and experienced alike are welcome! There will be a free session zero.

How to prepare
Everyone should have a mic, discord account, and roll20 account. The latter two are both free. You don't need to read anything ahead of time. Just keep in mind Curse of Strahd is about a vampire lord so the themes will be fitting of any serious vampire story.
What I provide
I have several modules on offer for character creation and know how to customize character sheets if I don't have the relevant module on my roll20. There will be ambient music and I generally run on rule of cool or what is most fun. Rules are important for guardrails, but if its narratively fun enough, bending them a bit is okay. The most important thing is players are having fun and we create a fun story together.

How will character creation work
We will create characters during session zero though coming in with ideas ahead of time is good. Stats will be a choice between rolls or point buy and starting on level 1. All official class/races/backgrounds are accepted. Homebrew can be discussed.
