About the adventure

Welcome to Cyberpunk! In this game you will play as a titular cyberpunk and navigate the oppressive systems that rule Night City. Get paid to run gigs, enhance your body with cybernetics, and explore a dystopian sandbox! The year is 2045, and Night City is still recovering from the nuclear bomb that destroyed the center of the city. Much of the old net has been lost or closed off due to unbounded and deadly AI that were created in the time of prosperity 20 years prior. A new Net has been established to replace the new, but recently rumors have been surfacing of a breach from the old net. Netrunners losing their minds, and lethal cyberware malfunctions have been reported across the media networks. As tensions rise and fingers are pointed, the city is ready to be plunged into a new dark age. For one reason or another, you have become an Edgerunner, and many of the powers that be have made it clear that it is in your best interest to protect their assets from these strange breaches in the net. How will you navigate these treacherous waters that now threaten to swallow the city whole?

About me

Hello! My name is Ryan, but you can call me Twig. I will be your dedicated Game Master for hire, and I am honored to act as a facilitator for the stories that you want to tell. Ever since I was young, I have loved getting lost in the realms of fantasy and science fiction. From the epic tales of Drizzt Do'Urden in the Forgotten Realms, to the gritty post human questions of Blade Runner, you find a wide range of topics and settings to explore with me as your Game Master. With a college degree that specialized in game design, I delight in going outside the bounds of the various systems I have run to give you distinctive mechanics, items, and powers for your characters. Whether you are an experienced player or dipping your toes into the hobby, your unique ideas will be brought to life. As a writer, I pride myself on crafting open ended scenarios that give you the freedom to explore the world as you see fit. My focus as a GM is to emphasize player interaction and and the consequences. Your actions matter and will affect the narrative in unforeseen ways. That collective chaos is what makes these games special. So, join me in this collaborative effort to conjure into being worlds of our design.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players will require a mic and a camera.

What Ryan brings to the table

Foundry VTT with custom maps and tokens will be provided. I enjoy doing character voices and playing music/ambiance to enhance a scene. As a GM I love to play off of the players and improvise on the fly. As such It is my goal to make each player feel like their character has relationships and histories that tie them to the world. Spontaneity is the spice.
