About the adventure
Dragonlords' Odyssey Setting: Thylea, a land where gods walk among mortals and myths come to life. Inspiration: Ancient Greek mythology meets epic fantasy. Overview: In the world of Thylea, you will embark on a grand journey, reminiscent of epic tales like the Odyssey and the Argonautica. Thylea is a land of ancient prophecies, godly intrigues, and legendary monsters. The gods of this realm are both a blessing and a curse, often meddling in the affairs of mortals for their own whims and entertainment. The campaign begins with you receiving a prophecy, foretelling that you are destined to become one of the land's great heroes. However, this destiny is not easily achieved. You must undertake a perilous voyage across Thylea, facing challenges that test will your strength, wit, and moral compass. Along the way, you will: •Encounter mythological creatures like cyclopes, nymphs, and centaurs. •Navigate the politics and desires of powerful gods and titans. •Discover ancient ruins, hidden islands, and treacherous underworlds. •Forge alliances with legendary heroes and confront formidable foes. •Make choices that will shape the fate of Thylea and its inhabitants. Themes: •Fate vs. Free Will: Are you truly bound by prophecy, or can you forge your own path? •Godly Intrigue: The gods of Thylea are powerful and often capricious. Earning their favor can be as dangerous as invoking their wrath. •Heroic Legacy: What does it mean to be a hero? Is it about glory, sacrifice, or something else entirely? How to prepare
•Know the basic rules of the system (5e). •Have a working microphone for Discord. •Read the Thylea world primer to learn more about the world •Browser is required, preferably on a PC, to access FoundryVTT. •A webcam is completely optional

How will character creation work
Character creation: •You will be creating a mythic character, a character far stronger and greater than the average guy, and therefore, you will need the stats to back up that. • Point buy system, 35 points total, minimum stat is a 6 and maximum 18 (pre-racial bonuses) Classes: •All classes except artificer are allowed. •In addition, there will be an extra subclass for each class that is unique to the world and setting of Thylea. •These new subclasses are homebrew and because of that, they may be stronger than the official subclasses. Epic Paths: •This is a unique background solely for you •Epic Paths are designed to give you a mythic archetype for your hero, so that you can feel like the divinely touched figures, such as Hercules, Achilles, Odysseus, or Theseus. •This will determine your mythic context within the land of Thylea and influence relationships with your gods and people. •There are 10 available epic paths each with its own story, background quests, and more. Destinies: •New addition to allow you to gain inspiration in a specific and concrete way instead of it being forgotten and based on the DM's mood. •There are currently 11 Destinies you may choose which will further aid in giving your character life. All of these unique character creation options are available to read in the Discord server!
