About the adventure

This game takes place in an alternate take on the world of the popular anime/manga "My Hero Academia". In this version of events, UA is a College, instead of a High School, and the party will be entering their freshman year. Much of the campaign will follow the party learning on how to become Pro Heroes, much like their professors before them, as well as dealing with the general hijinks and troubles of being a college student. For this campaign, players should have a fair amount of experience with DnD, or at least a basic understanding of how to play, due to the difference in/homebrew rules we will be using. Additionally, while I do not expect anyone unfamiliar with My Hero to join, I should mention that in order to get the full experience of this campaign, players should, at the very least, be largely familiar with the anime or manga. As part of this campaign, players will make custom quirks that should fit within the tone of most powers within My Hero, with quirks (often) being biological in nature, and stronger quirks having some type of drawback to their power.

How to prepare

Before Session 0, players should have a general character/quirk concept, and we can hone in on anything that is too general during Session 0, or before Session 1. We will be using Roll20 and Discord for Voice/maps, so accounts on those will be required.

What I provide

I have created a document that labels all of the homebrew/variant rules that we will be using, and will also be available to discuss any questions regarding the world/rules before Session 0, so everyone has as good of a sense as possible as to what to expect.

Gameplay details

After each session, we will go over the session and discuss what we all enjoyed/did not enjoy, as well as what we feel could have been done differently or better. During Session 0 we will discuss what we all would like to see from the campaign, as well as any hard limits regarding content and/or tone.

How will character creation work

Character creation will take place during Session 0, with character concepts being discussed there as well if needed. Players will start at Level 1 using a homebrew "Quirk User" Class found online, that I've used for previous campaigns. While all players will technically be the same class, most if not all features/traits are negotiable, and can be determined based more on character, rather than the class itself. Additionally, all players will be Variant Humans, including the extra feat gained from that lineage. After joining, I can share all of the homebrew that will be used for this game.
