About the adventure
The House of the Dragon has fallen. A Stormlord rises. Yet the Houses of Shipbreaker Bay do not rise with him. For this game the player House will be in the Stormlands. Despite the rule of Robert Baratheon, the Stormlands haven't seen a major boost in their influence or power. Something is not right in the capital, but that is a problem for the King; you've got your own House to look after. In fact an opportunity might be about to fall into their laps....... ---------------------- The Song of Ice and Fire RPG allows players to build their very own House, with history, resources, and an extensive list of NPC family, servants, courtiers, and other house members. We'll be starting this game from the same starting point as the books and TV series. Robert Baratheon sits on the Iron Throne, but we won't be following the Stark family, we'll be following your own minor noble family on their ongoing quest for power, vengeance, wealth, control, or maybe even the Iron Throne itself. I'm going to be ignoring all of the events that took place in the show and writing our own story as we go. I'll be adding a few more magical elements and mythical creatures, but will be keeping the soft magic system and general aesthetic of the series. Session 0 will involve using the Song of Ice and Fire RPG system to build your family's house and characters. This is a very interactive process and makes sure that all players know the history of the house, where it stands, who leads it, and who its enemies are.

About me
Hello! My name is Leland Vaughan although I usually go by Candlemoth online. I love the medium of RPGs and I'm excited to use this platform to play lots of different game systems that I haven't tried yet and am dying to jump into. I've been DMing and playing for somewhere around 12 years and when I started I never thought I'd be able to get paid to do what I love like this. I read constantly and I'm very interested in what Kurt Vonnegut called 'The Shape of Stories'. In that vain, I'm always looking to bring a unique and personalized experience to even pre-made adventures. Creating your character
Session 0 will involve using the Song of Ice and Fire RPG system to build your family's house and characters. This is a very interactive process and makes sure that all players know the history of the house, where it stands, who leads it, and who it's enemies are. This will be a fairly long process, but involves everyone in the party rolling to determine the statistics and history of the house. The House itself is very much it's own character in that way.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Webcam and Microphones are required as well as a Discord and Roll20 account. Players should talk on the discord server about what type of character they want to play and what positions in the house they might play.
What DM Candle brings to the table
I will be managing The House character Sheet, the Discord, and laying out a detailed web of conspiracies and intentions of the other Houses of Westeros after the session 0 based on the Characters and their House. I also have a physical copy of the rule-book, dice, and music.

Now if you aren't aware; George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones series is steeped in violence, sexual acts, atrocities, and copious amounts of torture and gore. We will be discussing limits in session 0 and limits can be sent to me privately and we will all abide by them as a group. Limits can be changed or added as we go and you can always come to me privately to discuss.
