About the adventure
The world you know hides something far darker. Creatures of legendāmonsters born from the stories of mankindāroam free. As one of the Vanta, a child of both human and Dark Creature, you walk a fine line in a society that fears you, yet relies on your unique ability to survive the dangers of the night. In this custom world inspired by folklore and myth, your party may hunt a Chupacabra terrorizing a village one week, then find themselves working with the Baba Yaga the next. Every quest reveals more about a land where survival is uncertain and every choice has weight. This campaign is deeply narrative, focusing on character-driven stories and dark themes explored with care. Combat isnāt guaranteed each sessionāmonsters must be outsmarted and prepared for, or they will end you quickly. With a strong emphasis on roleplay, the story evolves from the backstories of your characters, giving you the chance to shape your own path in a world that resists you at every turn.

About me
If youāre reading this, we already have something in common: we both love storytelling! For me, storytelling is at the heart of everything I do. Iām passionate about weaving compelling narratives and creating immersive roleplay experiences, and I love doing it with players of all backgrounds. I have a lot of experience running games for women, LGBTQIA+, and beginner players, and I strive to create a space where everyone feels welcome and engaged. Iām a flexible GM who focuses on making the game fun for everyone at the table. Rules are important, sure, but if bending or even breaking them makes the story better or the session more enjoyable, Iām all for it! Our shared enjoyment is always my top priority. One of my favorite compliments from a player says it all: "I don't know how you do it, but I care more about my fake D&D mom's opinion of me than my real mom, and I hate you for that."

Creating your character
Character creation will happen together at Session 0, and then on individual calls for any players that join after. I will guide each player through the process, all they need to have prepared is a vague character concept. This campaign uses custom races. Characters will begin at level 3. Players will not need any books themselves, all will be provided for them.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need: A Discord account, internet and a mic (camera if they wish) and a Foundry VTT account. Players will be provided with the rules and guides for understanding them and should give them a read before Session 0, but rules will be elaborated with me on a solo call or during Session 0. Players should read the lore documents that will be provided to get a better understanding of the world before session 1, but doing so is not necessary
What Dam Erin brings to the table
A link to a Discord server will be provided which will have pdf's for the game system and well as hand-made guides on understanding the rules and the lore of the world. As a GM, I lean heavily on the narrative aspects of all the games I run. While I think combat is important (and fun!) it is always to push the narrative forward and I don't expect to have a fight in every session. I enjoy making fleshed out characters with unique art, personalities and motives. I especially enjoy when those characters have a relationship with the players! I am a firm believer that we sit down together at our virtual table to have fun, so I very much value the Rule of Cool! While the rules are important, if as a player you would like to do something interesting always make the suggestion, I live for "Yes, and" or at the very least "No, but".

How Dam Erin creates a safe table
During Session 0 we will go over greater detail of the safety tools, and a debriefing will happen with any player that starts after this Session 0. Lines and Veils will be kept anonymous unless specified otherwise and will be listed in an online document. X-Cards can be sent digitally directly to me, or to the group if comfortable. Stars and Wishes will happen at the end of each individual session.
