The Lost Terrarium | A Short D&D5e Campaign | Beginner Friendly
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
Adventure Synopsis: Lost Terrarium "On Clover Island, there lays a rural village known as Shamrock, fate has tipped in their favour as on the outskirts a crack in the earth revealed a new dungeon. The prospects of what lay within are drawing in adventurers like moths to a flame and there are those who wish to utilize it for nefarious means..." This is where the players come in, you will delve into this dungeon to uncover its secrets, overcome its challenges, and learn the innerworkings of it's monster ecosystem. --- This is an epic, homebrew Dungeons & Dragons adventure. Which we will be using the brand new 2024 ruleset, which you can get from D&D Beyond or for free on my Foundry which is the application you will be joining for our game visuals, character sheets, rolls, and immersive background music. The estimated length will be 3 to 4 sessions, weekly. This may vary depending on the groups shenanigans. Our first session will involve a part of character creation. I would recommend having a look to see what sort of character you would like to play ahead of time :) Themes and Inspiration: Dungeon Meshi, Ecosystem & Ecology, Zack & Wiki, Monster Hunter, One Piece, and Treasure Island

So what to say about Jack I have known this guy for a few years now we met through a mutual friend whose server was running a one-shot for the first time and ever since then we have been great friends. I have been through multiple campaigns with him dming and the quality of his sessions have continued to improve over the years. The care and dedication he puts into his worlds and stories is amazing. He will work with you one on one to find the right fit for you into the story. If you like story driven campaigns with good combat or if you just want to have an awesome session and be a little silly I highly recommend him.
Great and fun DM to have been able to play DND with. I joined him with my first ever tabletop campaign and always was more than happy to help with learning rules and helping create characters. Puts a lot of effort into his campaigns creating his own story/setting/world and makes an effort to incorporate every player characters into it.
Jack is an amazing game master. We played a beta version of Daggerheart together and I loved every bit of our adventure. The game flow really well and there is room for roleplay as well as some combat encounters. He also checks in outside of the game session to gather feedback and bounces ideas together with his players in and outside of the game session. I highly recommend a game with Jack and hope to play with him more in the future.

How to prepare
Install Discord: For our communication you will need Discord, set up a profile and message me your ID so I can add you to the group! Stable Internet Connection: Self explanatory :) PC & Browsing System: Foundry runs on a browser tab like google! So you'll need a browsing system like Opera GX or Fire Fox! Mic and Audio: Set up some headphones and a mic, preferably in a quiet area so that background noises don't cause distractions in session, thank you! With these combined, you are ready to join in this original adventure. I look forward to seeing what shenanigans we get into.
What I provide
Foundry VTT: This is for our visuals, rolls, character sheets, and BGM Discord: For Communication with one another

Safety Tools. These are systems I employ to make my games safer and more comfortable: Session 0: During the first session we will be doing a 30 minute session 0 which will help us connect our characters, establish communication, set expectations, and answer any questions. X, N, and O Cards: These are check-in tools: X Indicates that you are uncomfortable, and would like to skip the content. N Indicates you feel like the situation is heading towards a X card. O-Cards are used for a check-in on you or for the group to make sure everyone is comfortable. You can privately message me or publicly state the card to let me know. Breaks: For our longer games we sometimes need time to recharge our batteries, there will usually be a 5-to-10-minute break around halfway into the session. If you need a sudden break feel free say so and we can pause the session for a time. Aftercare: After the session I will check in on all of you to see how you’re feeling.

How will character creation work
We will be making level 1 characters using only the 2024 Players Handbook, using standard array for attribute scores, and the first session we will spend around 30 minutes on the character creation process. If you have the 2024 PBH on D&D Beyond you are more than welcome to make one on there and we can import it to foundry. I have the PHB on Foundry, if you have a good idea of your character beforehand we can make it on Foundry in the first session. I will send you my discord tag, if you have any questions about anything feel free to message me at any point. I will make sure to wave first!
