About the adventure
Corporate wants to work on inter-department teambuilding, so they organized a mandatory retreat to the forest. Doing trust falls and making lanyards is fine and all, but what's that camp director been up to...? This one-shot is fashioned after a special episode of The Adventure Zone, a comedy live-play podcast, and does borrow themes from the show. If you are familiar with the content, this module may not be for you! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. In this adventure, you'll play as Level 8 characters from a section of an Adventuring Guild of your choice. Characters can be created or chosen from a selection of pre-builds. The content of this adventure is most similar to a "dungeon crawl", with a very lighthearted twist.

About me
I love being lost in immersion. Call it escapism, or simply being imaginative, but it's my favorite feeling. Over the past 10 years, I've learned a lot about hosting games, and recently I've only become more excited to share my enthusiasm with friends, family, and new people who feel the same way. Come and stay a while, and let's immerse ourselves in worlds of our creation. --- My name is Jeff. I use he/him pronouns, but only due to societal ease. Call me whatever makes sense in your vocabulary. I have hosted D&D 5e, PbtA, Fate, and Wild Words systems. My preference is to run rules-lite, roleplay-forward games, but it's also fun to dig into the crunch of a good system.

Creating your character
Players will be responsible for creating Level 8 Adventurers using any official sources. If I don't have knowledge of any class, race, or archetype features, I may ask for players to provide documentation for my perusal. In addition to your character stats, be prepared to talk about what your character does for the Adventurers Guild- whether that's accounting, surveying, lobbying, adventuring- anything works! Players will be asked to submit their characters before the session starts, to help with planning and recognition on my part.
Join this silly roleplay adventure to let your characters have a good time in a more carefree setting! Great for experienced players and new recruits alike, who want to stretch or grow their improv skills in a fun roleplay with a twist.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players are responsible for having: -A microphone. -An account on Alchemy VTT (https://alchemyrpg.com). -Access to character creation tools for Dungeons and Dragons 5e. -A general familiarity of the ruleset -- New players are welcome!
What Jeff brings to the table
Players will need to have accounts with Alchemy VTT (https://alchemyrpg.com). The game will be hosted on this platform using microphone- video chat is optional. As a GM, I try my best to make it obvious when scenes should be played in-character, or using exposition by using voices. Alchemy as a platform provides an easy way to switch scenes for visual and audio cues such as maps of the area, though for this adventure I will be using primarily theater of the mind to track player positions and actions. In all my games, I adhere to the Rule of Cool first and foremost- that means sometimes my interpretation of actions may not be As-Written, if thematically things don't add up. I ask that my players be accepting of changes, as well as bold with presenting scenarios that may be outside the scope of what you can find on your character sheet.

How Jeff creates a safe table
Safety is very important! If there is anything that you feel will get in the way of your enjoyment of this game, feel free to discuss it with me or your players. If topics are sensitive to even discuss, amendments can be made to our Lines and Veils, and will be adhered to without question. Lines and Veils document will be shared with the group and in visibility of the DM at all times. X, N & O cards can be verbalized, or messaged to the group or DM directly.
