About the adventure
Ahh, the bright lights and big city of Manhattan. You are part of a pack, but your loyalty lies among any one of the larger Septs in the area. From the wildness of the Sept of the Green, to the earthiness of the Sept of the Five Burroughs, to the temple to the Weaver that is Lunacorp East, New York is a haven for Gaians. True, you are but a cub when compared to the Guardian packs or the Elders of either Sept, but you're still enthusiastic to celebrate your first Change by offering your claws in vicious fashion And then there's the underbelly. The grit and grime, the fallen Clason Point under the Bronx that stinks of the Wyrm, It is your job, nay, your responsibility, nay, your JOY to clean up whatever mess comes up from there. After all, you're not like those other cities and towns where they just throw bodies at the problem. You are a surgeon, seeking out the cancer, and not the body itself. There are so many dangers to that, from the toxins that could go into the Hudson, to the dangers that one of the banes could get away and warn the others. There have been packs that have gone underground, never to be seen again. There's no place better than New York City. Where else in the world can you get real bagels? They're made with malt, the way Gaia intended. Don't listen to the haters from Chicago - the pizza is incredible. Not to mention the music - there are bands out here that aren't anywhere else, some of which are Shifters too. After all, how could mere mortals express the utter rage it takes to sing actual Death Metal plus realistic howls? But truly, there is no way your life could get any better.

About me
Hi there! I've been running games for quite some time, of various systems. My favorites to run are FATE Core and White Wolf games, but I am familiar with D&D of various editions, have some knowledge in Savage Worlds, know several indie RPGs that I am trying hard to run, and am working on learning the Cypher System! I run a great deal of horror and tend to be on the spooky side, so be prepared to get chills!

Creating your character
We will create characters on session 0, but if anyone doesn't want to continue with their character, we can create another one offscreen. If for some reason one of the players does not want to continue on after, and another player signs up, we will create a character offscreen. If you need any game notes in regards to NPCs or the Septs created for this game, I can easily provide if your character would have that information in character. I will be using 5th Edition, but there might be some references here and there to older editions based on the history of the game and a bit of use of Rage Across New York. You will be creating a brand new character at cub level, and within session zero we will discuss how you ranked to Cliath. Some knowledge is helpful, and I can provide a PDF of the 5th edition book if you would like to review it prior to game.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I would like a webcam and mic, but we will at least need a mic if you don't feel comfortable showing your face. As we advance or get more comfortable with playing in a group, I will get more props and information for you to create the world.
What Liz brings to the table
I am a Horror GM above all else, but if I cannot scare you without triggering you, I am terrible at running games. I do firmly believe in role-over-roll and will absolutely reward stunning roleplay. I believe in the use of music and sound effects, but mostly perform theater of the mind. I can do some voices, but not many. If it is too confusing I can hold up a card in video that shows the name of the NPC that is speaking. I believe in sharing the world with my players, and creating an intricate tapestry that would allow people to create and give personality traits to NPCs that may not have existed before. I firmly believe in the fact that the G in RPG stands for games, and games are supposed to be fun. If you're not having fun, let me know and we will see what we can do. I will discuss in detail with you what tone we are going for, and while I have an idea, it is nothing if not modular. What you do in game will make a difference to the world in general, and may change what happens next session.

How Liz creates a safe table
On session 0, we will discuss safety tools and I will provide a document for any lines and veils by email. I am planning on making this new user friendly as well, so if you have not played Werewolf before, I feel comfortable running this as a teaching game. Session 0 will be free as well.
