About the adventure
Step into Toraveno, where the planes of existence converge in a tapestry of intrigue and possibility. As the southern jewel of Tesaklos, this sprawling metropolis offers fortune, adventure, and a life unlike any other. In Kas Fareda, where the material plane is so weak that other planes begin to breach through, Toraveno stands as the only city. Rooted across every plane, it’s a hub of cultures with power and reach across the multiverse. Despite its glittering streets and towering skyscrapers, a shadow full of sin lurks beneath its beauty. Toraveno’s size is paradoxical: its material neighborhoods are small, akin to farming towns, but the planar bleed makes it encompass most of the continent. With no main government or military, the city is ruled by factions and a set of agreed-upon laws. As the city grew, so did its diversity, bringing in inhabitants from the Feywilds, Stygia, the Divine plane, and the Infernal Plane. The “Planar Bleed” makes it hard for any country to claim the city without it being seen as a multi-plane invasion. Instead, five formidable crime factions hold power, each representing different planes. Navigate the twisting streets, strike bargains with charismatic characters, and unravel the mysteries beneath the surface. Explore a city where reality blurs, and destiny is written in shades of gray. Will you find your fortune amidst the whispers of the Bleeding City? Welcome to Toraveno, where the multiverse meets metropolis.

About me
I'm a movie and comic lover who loves to play games of all sorts, so naturally I got hooked on table top role playing. I love world building and narrating my own cinematic moments for my players more than being bound by the rules of the game or physics! The thing that I feel is my greatest strength when it comes to being the Dungeon Master is that I come up with these grand worlds and amazing lore to the way they work. The issue is that they ultimately feel empty of a true story until I have players sit down and explore my world that I put them in. It really completes me and my need to show off my creations, especially when my players can add more to the world itself because of their crazy ideas!

Creating your character
You are welcome to come to the table with a character already made if it's using official classes and races from D&D Beyond character creator. If you wish to use homebrew races, then it must be presented and approved by me. If you want help making one in Session 0, I'm always happy to answer questions about my setting or make suggestions. Characters will begin at level 3 and I'll be happy to explain how the leveling system works if you need assistance.
The First person to join the game gets in free.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need: - A working microphone - A set of headphones - Computer - Discord app - D&D Beyond account What I suggest: - physical dice - pencil and paper for notes - snacks Optional: - camera to self stream - calculator
What Colin MacGregor, Dr. Badidea brings to the table
I will be hosting from my private dnd server for the group, you can expect me to be on camera and showing my face. I will be using Owlbear Rodeo as my VTT of choice and will create a DND-Beyond campaign to keep the group's character sheet's organized. As for what happens in the game, I'm very much a person who has a theme or a song for every encounter playing in the background, I find it helps me and the players get into the mindset of their characters. If we're all having fun and nothing game breaking is happening, then I'm very much a rule of cool and I'll encourage creativity in the game. Just like how in life there can be more than one way to cook an egg, I like to be able to adapt to whatever the players can think of in order to solve an issue.
Homebrew rules
For the majority of play I run regular rules, but if something doesn't feel right or fun then I'll change to be more of a "rule of cool".

Safety
How Colin MacGregor, Dr. Badidea creates a safe table
In my session 0, I'll be going over what I allow and don't allow at my table and discussing what I'm like as a dm and as a person. I will ask questions and offer ways that people may communicate to me if they don't wish to say it aloud. After the session ends then I'll have a few minutes to discuss the turn of the events in the session and recap. At that time I would love to get your thoughts on what you enjoyed vs what you didn't like- again you may talk to me in private if you wish.
