About the adventure
You have been dragged by the strings of fate through ethereal mists to the land of Barovia. The region is gripped by fear and dismay, bathed in pale moonlight or storm riddled-skies, ever-watched by the loom shadow of Castle Ravenloft - home to Count Strahd von Zarovich. Your only hope of escape from this dreaded landscape is to confront and destroy the Count himself and thus relinquishing his hold on the land and it's people...for a time. To do this, you must ready yourselves in any and every way you can for Barovia, much like its master, is unforgiving.

About me
I have been running TTRPG games for the past eight years, across various game systems, including Dungeons & Dragons Fifth Edition, Call of Cthulhu, and Vampire The Masquerade. I have experience running long campaigns, custom and pre-made modules, and one-shot adventures. At my tables, I prioritize immersion, player enjoyment, and a respectful atmosphere where everyone can feel safe. Fun for everyone is paramount! As a game master and player, I enjoy getting deep into characters' backstories and motivations and love livening things up with music, images, and the occasional accent or silly voice.

Creating your character
During Session 0, I will work with everyone to help create their characters in Roll20 for the game. If the session ends without you completing your character, please do so before the start of Session 1.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please make sure you have an active discord account (I will provide a link to the server we will use). Please have a working microphone and video is preferred, but not necessary. Please create an account on Roll20 for access to the maps and artwork for the campaign and where you will be creating your character sheets. You can use the Roll20 digital roller or your own dice if you prefer.
What Josh J. brings to the table
I will bring all of the digital assets for the campaign: maps, tokens, background music, etc. Beyond this, I use theater of the mind and captivating roleplay to ensure everything you do has weight and matters.

How Josh J. creates a safe table
I like to set the details of use with my safety tools during Session 0. Together we will discuss what we want and don't want as well as what constitutes and Line or Veil. In terms of aftercare, I am more than happy to stay behind with you to debrief and decompress after a session to ensure we're all still feeling good. For X, N, & O cards you can message me privately in discord (a private channel will be set up between me and each player individually) or hold up your hands in an "X" shape during play and we will stop and discuss.
