About the adventure

The cosmic tapestry of destiny is fraying, its threads snapping, reality twisting into chaos. Time stutters, gravity shifts, and the future is no longer certain. In this world of unraveling fate, you and your allies must navigate the mayhem—will you mend the Weave, reshape it to your own design, or revel in the anarchy? Every choice pulls another thread, and the fate of existence hangs by a strand.

About me

Hail and well met! Allow me to bid you welcome to DragonSanctuary. I am ScaleScibe, your dedicated weaver of tales and keeper of knowledge. As a DM, I am committed to crafting immersive and captivating game worlds where players can delve into dungeons, vanquish fearsome monsters, unearth hidden treasures, and uncover epic storylines. I specialize in a mixture of roleplay and epic combat all the while creating an immersive and entertaining world and always endeavor to tailor each session to the unique interests and play styles of my players. When I am not conjuring up fantastical adventures or weaving intricate narratives, you may find me reading various books or plotting devious plot hooks for the next campaign that I have waiting in the wings.

Character creation

Creating your character

The players will be required to create a Level one character prior to Session Zero, be it on a physical character sheet that is then photo'd and sent in, written out on a fillable pdf or created with DnDbeyond.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

While I would prefer the characters to be created prior to Session Zero so that we can jump right into the game immediately after the expectations of the game is laid out, I understand that people are busy and so for those who need help or some assistance with their characters I will set aside time during session zero to help those who need assistance. In addition to a Character to play, the players will need a Discord account and a clear microphone to participate in the Campaign.

What ScaleScribe brings to the table

I will provide everything the players need from Character Sheets and Illustrations to maps and handouts.

Safety

How ScaleScribe creates a safe table

During the Session 0, I walk the players through my DM style what I expect and what they expect in return. Outline the reasons a game can/will be cancelled, my stance on payments, and I direct my players to a category of my Discord Server called Character and Consent where they can find a copy of the Monte Cook Consent Checklist and a Character sheet they can use to create their character if they hadn't already. I personally have never used X, N, O cards however I am willing to run that safety system at the request of others. I run a rules-light table, erring on the side of Rule of Cool rather than Rules as Written. I am willing to work with my players even if some of the spells or features they come up with drives me to madness, it is rare that I ever say no to a homebrew and even when I do I tweak the homebrew a tiny bit to make it less broken so that the player can still play the class they want. As for Session 0, I walk the players through my DM style what I expect and what they expect in return. Outline the reasons a game can/will be cancelled, my stance on payments, etc... I am aware of the tendency for bleed with some people and to help reduce the risk I offer breaks at the request of the players as well as both aftercare and Debriefing post-session in addition to getting player feedback on what they want to do the next session so that I can prepare over the following week. I have an Open door policy anyone can drop out at anytime and if it is prior to the halfway point of the session I will be willing to refund the money on a case-by-case basis. Note: I do record the session so that I can listen back and take notes for inspiration and or plot points going forward.
