How to prepare

You will need a working microphone and a Discord account. That's it! During our first meeting, I can help with everything else including explaining character creation via Roll20.

What I provide

I am bringing passion, flexibility, and a love for the game. With thousands of hours of D&D experience, I will foster an inclusive environment for both old and new players alike. This campaign will include high-quality battlemaps, custom enemies for more engaging combat, ambient music and art for immersion, and an open world full of vibrant characters, and nuanced stories all designed for the most enjoyable experience possible.

Gameplay details

Players can expect a rich open world with survival and horror elements. There will be plenty of roleplaying opportunities, engaging combat encounters, and exploration of the wilds as you travel through Icewind Dale. This adventure includes some epic dungeons and fights, but there will be plenty of room to focus on character goals and immerse yourself in the world. As part of this, the campaign and variant rules may be altered subject to players' wishes. Ultimately, you, the players, will have the final say in the type of story that we tell and the type of adventure that we embark on. This campaign will feature some survival mechanics to deal with the cold but nothing overbearing or that detracts from a heroic fantasy experience. Wandering the wilds may attract beasts and even in the towns, you can never escape the endless chill. Special care will be taken to ensure everyone is comfortable. Players will have the opportunity to express specific content they wish to avoid through several safety tools, a break will be taken near the midpoint of all sessions, and players are always entitled to skip or avoid triggering content. It is my goal that this campaign is accessible and enjoyable for all of my players.

How will character creation work

During our first meeting, a free Session 0, we will make characters together. Characters will be level 1, use point buy for stats, and start with a level 1 feat. I will provide several resources to flesh out character backstories and personalities, so feel free to come with an idea for your backstory. I allow all content from officially published WotC D&D 5e books. We will be using some variant character creation rules, so wait until Session 0 to make a character. Session 0 will be a one-on-one meeting where we discuss campaign rules and player backstory as well.
