About the adventure
Each year, the finest young samurai of Rokugan compete in the Topaz Championship to see which of them will be crowned this years Topaz Champion... Legend of the Five Rings is a Roleplaying game set in the fictional nation of Rokugan. Rokugan uses tropes and themes from East Asian cultures, mostly Japanese, in a similar way to Dungeons and Dragons relying on western folklore. Rokugan is a place where the Samurai are descended from gods, and they rule over their clans with their codes of Bushido and Respect. Sometimes this works, often it doesn't. Young Samurai go through a ceremony known as gempukku, to mark their transition into adulthood. This takes a different shape for many of the Clans, and families within, but the most prestigious of these ceremonies is the Topaz Championship. Samurai are tested in each of the skills they must learn, before facing each other in a contest of skill to be declared the Topaz Champion. This year though... Something sinister seems to be afoot. Join me for a beginner game of Legend of the Five Rings Fifth Edition. Over Seven sessions (Including session 0), we will build characters, and I will introduce you to the mechanics and world of Legend of the Five Rings. Session 0 will be a reduced cost of 5 dollars a person. Come on board, and lets tell a story!

About me
Hi all! I’m Maddy, and I have been Roleplaying, Story-Telling, and Games-Mastering for twenty long years. My pronouns are they/them, and I am a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. All my games are safe places for people of any orientation or belief. I have a high level of knowledge in popular game lines such as Dungeons and Dragons 5e, WoD5, and Fantasy Flight’s Star Wars system. I am also knowledgeable in other more obscure systems such as Legend of the Five Rings (4th and 5th Editions especially), Renegade Games Power Rangers RPG, and various editions of the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying Game. As a game runner, my focus is on creating an atmospheric and immersive experience, tailored to what the players want. I want to make the players feel like the focal point, and heroes of the story we are creating together. I hope that if I have caught your eye, you find some time to play with me, and enjoy an epic experience.

Players need a microphone, discord account, and a Roll20 account to play. Willingness to learn and have fun is also required <3
What Maddy brings to the table
I will bring a Roll20 server, with fun images to set the theme of the game. Dice will be handled through Roll20 or discord, as decided in session 0. I will also bring a great story, that I hope will enchant you all!

How Maddy creates a safe table
Five minute breaks will take place at the end of every hour. Lines and Veils will be completed during session 0, with a frank and honest discussion with the other players about what kind of behavior we all expect, and hope for from the game.
