About the adventure

The ruins of Rusthenge have stood silent and mysterious for eons, dating back to the era of the runelords of ancient Thassilon. Now that New Thassilon has risen from the depths of the past, something below the strange metallic ruin has begun to stir, and that bodes ill for the nearby village of Iron Harbor. What deadly legacy lies hidden within the unknown ruins below Rusthenge, and can it be stopped before a new evil is unleashed upon the land? **Followed by:** The town of Sandpoint has seen more than its fair share of danger over the years, including harrowing fires, prolific serial killers, goblin raids, and attacks by giants and dragons, but now the so-called Light of the Lost Coast faces its greatest threat yet! Something sinister has been manipulating events all along, and a new band of heroes must step in to save this legendary small town from seven deadly dooms!

About me

I am a player and Game Master with nearly 4 decades of experience. I value story above all, but am not against an exciting combat! I am also the primary GM of the "Knights of the Smith Dinner Table" Actual Play group!

I played in James' games for about two years, and had a great time. He's a good guy in general, always makes the quests a challenge. His CG map designs were also very well-done, and helped bring the fantasy world to life. I particularly enjoyed his Deadlands games, both because I like that setting, and because I think he did a particularly good job of making old western NPCs unique and entertaining.

Character creation
Creating your character

Character creation will be done during session 0 in Foundry, using the standard PF2E build method. All common classes and ancestries are allowed. Any uncommon or rare ancestries, backgrounds, classes, and feats must have a significant back story prepared. All Backgrounds from the "Seven Dooms for Sandpoint" players guide are allowed. Make sure to download the free players guide for this AP. You can find it here: https://paizo.com/store/pathfinder/adventures/adventurepath/sevendoomsforsandpoint

What to expect
Preparing for the session

You will need a microphone, and a Discord account. Links will be provided for the Foundry Server and Discord.

What James Smith brings to the table

I have the adventure and the Foundry Server! I typically play RaW, and let the dice fall where they may! As per standard PF2E rules, secret rolls are used: you will be able to make the roll, just not see the result. There is a lot of ambiences and SFX included, so I advise to set your volume to something comfortable. Combat will be intense, and the foes you face will be as tactical as they should be (i.e. Goblins will be very chaotic in combat, while hobgoblins will be very smart about what they do).

Platforms used
Safety
How James Smith creates a safe table

There is a lot to unpack for this adventure path. It has some very dark moments, which can provide excellent opportunities for role play!
