About the adventure
The legend of Free Captain Roarke One-Eye is well known amongst the taverns and ships of the Shackles. A scourge of the sea who brought fear and terror in his wake, leaving few survivors to tell the tales of his exploits. A legendary pirate whose ship and crew disappeared suddenly 5 years ago, chasing after some mythical treasure said to grant power that would turn one into a true lord of the ocean. In the years that have followed, many have created rumors about what truly happened to Roarke and his crew; some say they tried to brave the Eye of Abendego and were destroyed like so many others, others say they led the Shackles altogether, taking their treasure far west towards Arcadia. Others still say that they cast off their old names and began new lives, to what ends no one knows. You, however, know a bit of the truth. Roarke One-Eye never existed in the first place. His ship was crewed by a close group of skilled sailors and pirates, treasure hunters who embodied what it meant to be free. They created the legend of Roarke in order to make taking cargo from merchant ships easier and less bloody, only for the legend to begin to spiral out of control, and they never cared to correct the misconception. You knew one of the pirates who was a part of the One-Eye mythos; perhaps you were taught by them, were sired by them, or simply followed them around for a time. You knew them though, and they knew you. But now, rumors have begun to spread that a hidden cache of treasure belonging to Roarke is located on Motaku Isle. While you never went to claim it yourself due to not knowing its exact location, you had an idea of where it could be found, and the rumors seem suspiciously accurate. Now you find yourself heading for the port city of Lilywhite, hoping to claim the treasure before anyone else can, whether for the fame it will ring you, or to find a trace of Roarke's old crew, is for you to decide. Drowned Shores is a level 1-20 homebrew adventure taking place in the Shackles region of Golarion. Characters will take on the role of sailors and pirates, seeking out treasure and fortune, as well as the mystery behind the disappearance of Roarke One-Eye and they treasure they sought. To help you on this journey, characters will have access to the following variant rules: - Ancestry Paragon - Free Archetype - Relics

Meet the Game Master
About me
I am experienced game master of 7 years, starting with dungeons and dragons, and then gaining experience with call of cthulhu and pathfinder, my current preferred systems. I love to create and share stories with others, and enjoy working both with players who want to play a game to win, and players who are looking to share a story and get deep into roleplaying.

Creating your character
Character creation will occur during session 0 of the campaign. Players are asked to bring concepts for their characters, but with player character's already being somewhat connected prior to the campaign beginning, final decisions, how each person knows one another, and general backstory concepts will be done during session 0. Practically all ancestries, backgrounds, classes, and feats are available for use, however uncommon and rare options must be approved by the GM first. With the use of the Free Archetype variant rule, the only restriction is that any class dedication and feats (i.e. wizard, champion, witch, etc.) must be taken with your class slots, and not in the Free Archetype slots. Additionally, with the campaign progressing from levels 1 to 20, I ask that players take no more than 3 archetype dedications over the course of the story. If you really wish for more, please talk with me about it, and if their is a good story reason for your character, we can discuss it. In addition to your character's backstory, players will be asked to write a backstory for a single character whom yours is connected to. These other characters will be mentors, parents, guardians, etc., who were all a part of the crew of Roarke One-Eye, who went missing while searching for a legendary treasure. The following variant rules will also be in play: Free Archetype, Ancestry Paragon, and Relics. Each player will have a fragment of a key as their relic, imbued with the legacy of the other character they wrote their backstory on, and given to them before Roarke's ship went in search of that grand treasure.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need access to Discord, internet, and a functioning microphone. Sessions will take place in a discord voice call, and will also utilize the in-server chatbox in Foundry to communicate. Cameras are entirely optional.
What Jeriko brings to the table
I will provide a full discord server for the campaign, as well as a fleshed out gaming experience using the wealth of tools provided by Foundry VTT. A number of additional modules will be used to enhance player experience. Additionally, I can provide AI generated character artwork for players who do not have an image they are happy with for their character to use. I will also be recording sessions for uploading to youtube over the course of the campaign.
Homebrew rules
Full list of homebrew rules is available in the discord. Most important one for character building is a restriction on the Free Archetype variant rule - Multiclass dedications and their respective feats must be taken in class feat slots. Free Archetype is meant more for flavor and fleshing out additional aspects of your character's story.

How Jeriko creates a safe table
All players are welcome at my table, regardless of experience level! Session 0 will go over peoples' lines and veils, and an open dialogue will be kept throughout gameplay. My goal is to ensure that players always feel comfortable in my games, and know that they can come speak with me if they have a problem or something they need to discuss.
