About the adventure
Space is vast, dark, and not your friend. Gamma rays and neutrino bursts erupt from dying stars to cook you alive, black holes tear you apart, and the void itself boils your blood and seizes your brain. Try to scream and no one can hear you – hold your breath and you rupture your lungs. Space isn’t as empty as you’d think, either – its frontiers are ever expanding. Rival governments wage a cold war of aggression while greedy corporations vie for valuable resources. Colonists reach for the stars and gamble with their lives – each new world tamed is either feast or famine. And there are things lurking in the shadows of every asteroid – things strange and different and deadly. Things alien. This is the official ALIEN table top roleplaying game – a universe of body horror and corporate brinkmanship, where synthetic people play god while space truckers and marines serve host to new born ghoulish creatures. It’s a harsh and unforgiving universe and you are nothing if not expendable. Stay alive if you can. There are three cinematic modules to play through within my AALIENRPG game. Players control scientific researchers in the hopes of finding more information about the various jobs the company sends them on. After completing the three modules, there is then the opportunity for players to continue their ALIEN themed story as colonial marines in a more open world apocalypse setting. TRIGGER WARNING - This campaign contains backstabbing, player vs player combat, and scheming against other players. If you are easily triggered/offended/annoyed by other players actions affecting your own this game is NOT for you.
Meet the Game Master
About me
Are you looking for a DM that will put the hours in to make a truly immersive D&D experience for you? Well look no further. I have been playing tabletop games for many years now, and have DM'd several campaigns and many, many one-shots. My profession has been teaching students for the last 6 years, so I particularly enjoy bringing new people into the D&D community. Letting new players bring their first character to life, fight their first horde of monsters, solve their way through their first puzzle and of course crawl their way through their first dungeon, has always been one of the most enjoyable parts of D&D, at least for me! D&D is all about telling great stories and having your players be immersed and wanting more from the world that a DM creates. This is what drives me to create the best campaign I can for my groups. If you want to check out all of the adventures I have to offer, check out this link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wLY_-dAEs69su77Y3ZDRSUY_Egeya4F5pS3j2AObt5I/edit?usp=sharing but if you have a particular module you would like to run, I am happy to purchase new source books! Voice acting, sound effects, animated visuals, and attention to detail all help to immerse my players in the D&D games they expect. Not to mention, I bring a lot of source material for players to create awesome new characters with. I have my players create their ideal character directly using DNDBeyond for official sourcebooks and then import them straight into FoundryVTT. But if you want a third party character from a homebrew source or somewhere else, I work directly with my players to create everything for them in Foundry, with as much automation as the system allows to make the game go as smoothly as possible! Drop me a message or hop into one of my upcoming games and let's play through an epic story together!

Creating your character
You choose from one of the pre generated characters within each module for the three cinematic stories. For the colonial marines scenario, players are able to fully create their own character or use a pre gen if they wish. Character sheets are handled directly within Foundry and I will give a brief overview of how to use them effectively in session 0.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Webcams would be useful for this game but not required. A good quality microphone with no background noise to mitigate interference with the ambient noises I will have playing. If you want to read through the players handbook for ALIENRPG by FreeLeaguePublishing that would be advisable too!
What DM Dan brings to the table
I run my games using FoundryVTT along with a huge array of extension modules for the software. I bring a vast amount of sound effects, animations and much more for use within the software, including effects like movement activated traps, automatic hidden rolls and NPC hidden patrolling (great for enemies that like to hunt). This game will make you utilise strategy, team work, cunning and betrayal to see if you can survive the ALIEN world as a team or individual. There are opportunities for high amounts of roleplay within this game and players are encouraged to make quick decisions and act fast.

How DM Dan creates a safe table
Session 0 will cover character choices and basics of how to play the game, general rules that I use for my games and how I prefer to my games. I am ALWAYS open to any feedback that players have. Players can either write direct messages, or have a quiet chat to offer advise, opinions or general concerns with the game they are in. You are paying for a service and if you are dissatisfied in any way then I would like to know and I would do my best to accommodate any needs. I also would like to mention that I am a teacher by profession and I work with people of all ages that have additional learning needs. I work hard to make everyone feel included in my games, even if you require a little extra help here or there for any reason.
