Mothership: Icarus Burning

How to prepare

This game will be played over voice chat on Discord, so an account is needed to play, along with a working microphone. Video isn't strictly necessary, but is encouraged as it helps to prevent people from interrupting each other by accident. Mothership Character sheets and a cheat sheet for the basic rules will be provided once people join the game. Even if you don't make a character beforehand, it's recommended to read the cheat sheet so you have a basic understanding of whats going on.

What I provide

A dicebot will be provided, but players are welcome to use their own dice. I also bring character sheets, a basic cheat sheet for the rules, atmospheric music and good vibes.

Gameplay details

This session is designed to be a tense race against time to discover what happened aboard the Icarus and get out. Before the session begins, we can go over any lines and veils people may want to include while playing. I usually try to include at least one break per session, with players more than welcome to request one if they feel overwhelmed or need a minute to gather themselves. Sessions will always end with a debrief to talk over what went well and any issues that need adressing followed by a round of compliments so that everyone leaves the table with a good vibe.

How will character creation work

Character creation in Mothership only takes a few minutes and the steps are fully included on the character sheet. I'm happy to walk through it if people want to before the game starts, but will also provide several pre-made characters for people who want to just jump straight in.
