About the adventure
"Curse of Strahd" is set in the gothic horror-themed world of Ravenloft, which is known for its dark and foreboding atmosphere. The adventure takes place in the fictional land of Barovia, a secluded and cursed realm ruled by the enigmatic vampire lord, Strahd von Zarovich. The entire adventure is steeped in themes of dread, despair, and supernatural horror, making it a particularly atmospheric and challenging campaign. It’s the evening before High Harvest Tide a largely celebrated holiday on the sword coast. A storm brews over the entirety of Fearun and all around people are closing their shutters and preparing for rain. Despite this the towns and citys are a buzz with anticipation for the impending festival and most know despite rain or wind a celebration will be had. You each find yourself headed to wherever you call home for the evening. You are alone for the first time that evening. Suddenly the cheery or worried voices heard about you go silent. A cold mist seems to have appeared out of nowhere as dark figures reveals themselves from the shadows to commit their dark dead. You feel the hot fiery pain of cloaked daggers over and over again and suddenly things are starting to go dark. Voices are heard complaining of your meager belongings but laughing it off as the reward for such a soul is high to the right buyer. Before life winks out entirely you feel your whole being seemed to be torn from the dying husk that was once your body....

About me
Hello! My name is Edward Pennington and I am a 26 year old student currently studying to become a commercial airline pilot. I have been a Dungeon Master for close to 4 years now and have found it to be my favorite part of Dungeons and Dragons. Being able to narrate and tell a story together with my players has and will always be what I love the most about DnD. I have come to love fantasy sword and sorcerer from my readings of Robert E. Howards Conan novelettes. The life or death bloody action really enthralled me and led me to more tame stories like the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit which taught me a love of high adventure! Naturally when I found DnD and realized I could make my own adventures like these it was a perfect match for me. I hope everyone who sits at my table can also have grand adventures with new friends and capture that sense of magic I also get from it all.

Creating your character
Characters will start at level 1 and will be made together during our session 0. Point buy, Standard array, or 3 Rolls will be allowed for stat generation.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Decent Microphone, Computer, and Internet connection to enjoy me game properly. I will also ask that you make a Discord account and forge account for communication and access to my server.
What Edward brings to the table
I will bring battle maps and scene art every game. foundry vtt for our tabletop. and access to my campaign on dnd beyond which will make character creation much easier.

We will have a session 0 where we will discuss player expectations and boundaries. I am always open to talk and adjust things as the game progresses. A break will happen every game and is a good time to speak with me about anything that may come up during the game.
