About the adventure

In this bizarre and brutal story, our edgerunners follow the story of a troubled weapons designer. JayeZK is being harrassed by a fellow designer and needs you to go and take out the trash! This oneshot is for those looking to experience the world of Cyberpunk RED for the first time, or experienced players looking for an interesting story from the streets of Night City.

About me

Hello there! I’m Moth (They/Them), and I’d love to be your DM! I’ve been playing TTRPGs for years, but first started 5e in the summer of 2018. Since then, I have run a number of modules for players including Ghosts of Saltmarsh, Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus, the Lost Mine of Phandelver, Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden, the Dragon of Icespire Peak, and most recently, Curse of Strahd. In addition to classic 5e I’m also versed in AD&D, Star Wars 5e, Call of Cthulhu, MÖRK BORG, and Cyberpunk RED. I run my games with inclusivity and fun in mind! I tend to stick to rules as written, but have been known to bend them at times for my players’s sakes. I am happy to work with each player’s needs and schedules, and I love to help players build PCs with heavy roots in the setting. I run my games on FoundryVTT hosted on the Forge, along with voice chat on Discord. The money players contribute will go directly into paying for new books to run, paying for my D&D Beyond subscription, and paying for the Foundry hosting service amongst other things. Games typically run 3-4 hours weekly, but I am happy to extend or lessen both the length and frequency depending on what you want! Please reach out if you have any questions, happy adventuring!

Moth enabled a group of mostly strangers to lean into role-playing or not as they chose. We never felt rushed. This resulted in very meaningful exchanges between players and NPCs.

This was my first time playing D&D, I had a lot of fun. Moth explained the rules to me and was friendly.

What a great time we had navigating the lands of Mork Borg! Knows the rules or can quickly find them if we needed them. Made his own maps for the module! Great all around DM. It was a blast to play around with the characters and get into the spirit of the dreaded world of Mork Borg where no one lives long.

They've always been one of my favorite players to have at the table. & I truly enjoyed playing in their Starfinder PbP game. Definitely looking forward to jumping into more of their games in the future!

I have played in various games with Moth including D&D5e, Mausritter, and Cyberpunk Red. They always bring a bright, positive energy to the table and do well to give the players a stage to play on. Moth has excellent rules and mechanics knowledge of any system they run which is always helpful, especially to new players.

I have played two different game systems with Moth. They are very easy-going and fun to play with. They are very eager to help and the games always run very smoothly.

Character creation
Creating your character

Character creation will occur before the session. I will help folks along as needed, or you're welcomed to use one of my many pregenerated characters if you prefer.

What to expect
Preparing for the session

Players will need a microphone, an account on Forge-VTT, and to create their own characters or choose a pregenerated character. Players are not required to read the rules ahead of time, but I would recommend reading pages 125-130, 167-186, and 219-227 of the core rulebook.

What Moth brings to the table

I will bring my copy of Cyberpunk RED, my Foundry VTT subscription, and my battlemaps.

How Moth creates a safe table

Before we enter our session, the group will establish Lines and Veils to be referenced during the game. All players are welcome to take a break at any time, or during the planned break midway through the session. I receive X, N, & O's through discord messages or verbally over discord. Gameplay itself will be over Foundry and using Discord for voice. We'll have battlemaps and digital dice, as well as music.
