About the adventure
The Death House is the infamous introductory adventure to the Curse of Strahd adventure for Dungeons & Dragons 5e. During this single session, players will level from one to three as they face up against unknown gothic horrors and a strange new world. This intro adventure is pretty combat and exploration-based, but there are some memorable opportunities for solid roleplay. Players should be prepared for a fun, horror-filled session. This game is for players who love horror themes, gothic tropes, and folks looking for a dark challenge! All ages are welcomed, and the game is very LGBTQ+ friendly. Note: Suicide and child death do come up in some form or another. If either of these topics bother you, I am happy to rewrite parts of the adventure.

About me
Hello there! I’m Moth (They/Them), and I’d love to be your DM! I’ve been playing TTRPGs for years, but first started 5e in the summer of 2018. Since then, I have run a number of modules for players including Ghosts of Saltmarsh, Baldur’s Gate: Descent into Avernus, the Lost Mine of Phandelver, Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden, the Dragon of Icespire Peak, and most recently, Curse of Strahd. In addition to classic 5e I’m also versed in AD&D, Star Wars 5e, Call of Cthulhu, MÖRK BORG, and Cyberpunk RED. I run my games with inclusivity and fun in mind! I tend to stick to rules as written, but have been known to bend them at times for my players’s sakes. I am happy to work with each player’s needs and schedules, and I love to help players build PCs with heavy roots in the setting. I run my games on FoundryVTT hosted on the Forge, along with voice chat on Discord. The money players contribute will go directly into paying for new books to run, paying for my D&D Beyond subscription, and paying for the Foundry hosting service amongst other things. Games typically run 3-4 hours weekly, but I am happy to extend or lessen both the length and frequency depending on what you want! Please reach out if you have any questions, happy adventuring!

Creating your character
Characters will start at level 1, and character creation will start in the discord server leading up to the session. We will use point buy, and all content from WOTC published 5e books is allowed. Please make a neutral or good character!

You will need an account for https://forge-vtt.com/, a discord account, and a microphone. If you don't have access to content you would like to build your character, I can definitely provide it!
