About the adventure
Contend with legendary foes and fickle gods in this classic D&D adventure, retooled to fit a world of Greek mythology. Classic monsters -the hydra, medusa, chimera, cyclops and more - had their origins here. Use your Mythic Gifts to defeat them and rise to glory. And if you fail, may your fall be epic, so you will be remembered through the ages. Embrace your Destiny or fight against it, forging your own path. Rumors of Returned mortals with haunting golden masks, hyper-intellegent Hydra and cultist of the now destroyed God of Revelry stand between you and Fate. Do you have the willpower to withstand the ire of the gods? Or can you champion their domains and forge a path of Glory for yourself and all that you hold dear. This game will run you through the classic D&D adventure with the Themes and Feats of fantasy ancient Greece. Athletes, Sailors and Pious folk are all prevalent in the world of Theros as well as familiar creatures and tropes of the Ancient Greek stories. Fans of 'Blood of Zeus' be wary, Demons of the Underworld may or may not be additional threats to a group of intrepid adventurers (Love you Dimension 20 fans!).

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hello all, I am Graysen and I have been playing the game of D&D 5e for about 5 years now. A lot of my time has been spent as a DM though I have had the great benefit of playing as a player. I have been developing my own sort of style for DMing with my primary inspiration being Brennan Lee Mulligan of Dimension20. I have a little Theatrical background but most of it is self-developed and still growing as I continue further into the game. I believe myself to be an intelligent person but more so than that, I am an empathetic storyteller, and take great care to ensure those around me are enjoying themselves as best as possible. I currently have fallen head over heels for the Theros World Setting from the MTG Universe (though I admit I have not actually delved too deep into the game of Magic. Shame I know). If you wish to immerse yourself in a story where you the hero can interact with the Gods of Theros, engage in epic storylines tailored, fight in epic battles and discover a greater love for the game of Dungeons and Dragons, I would have the honor to be your Dungeon Master.

Creating your character
During session zero the parameters for character creation will become more known and open to pre-gen characters (using standard array) or creating (or choosing) character sheets. The PCs will start from Lv 1 and will end at Level 8-10 (dependent on time and storyline) The following are the approved races for the campaign as well as a small tidbit of info about that races impact on the world: Humans on Theros are similar to those found on other D&D worlds: adaptable, ambitious, and wildly diverse. Centaurs employ cunning and equine strength to further the goals of the roaming Lagonna and Pheres bands. Leonin are proud lion-like hunters, many of whom live in defiance of the gods. Minotaurs are infamous for bloodthirstiness, a reputation even the most peaceful struggle to escape. Satyrs follow their passions in the pursuit of wild revels and new adventures. Tritons are an enigmatic, sea-dwelling people with an endless desire to explore. Harpy (Small Aarakocra) are typically a nuisance in Theros but some are adventurous Sun chasers. Siren (Fairy) similar to their Harpy cousins, Sirens are innately magical and extreme charmers. Anvilwrought (Dwarf+) are beloved creations of the Forge God, Purphoros. Gorgon (Yuan-ti) are cursed creatures generally touched by the Affliction God, Pharika. Giantkin/Cyclops (Goliath) are elusive mountain folk descended from the Titans of the Age of Trax. Dryad (Eladrin/Genasi) are elemental beings of the natural world of Theros. Archon (Aasimar) are a rare and abstruse race within Theros due to the history of the Archons of Ages Past. Faun (Bugbear/Firbolg) are the 'wild' races of the Skola Vale and typically involve themselves more with nature.
Beginner Friendly D&D with a Greek Mythic Flavor Party so far: Gorgon Twilight Cleric Build your characters using Supernatural Gifts from the Theros book; if you don't have that book go ahead and join the DnDBeyond Campaign. That should grant you access to everything you would need. If you need help, please get with me and we'll work something out.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I generally prefer Webcam and Mic through discord and all of the gameplay through Roll20. Adequate internet is also a strong must. Access to DNDBeyond is preferred but not a requirement as Roll20 will be the primary tool. Everything you, the player, will need to bring is a strong, emotional driven character, the thrill of wanting to jump into a character and live an adventure through the realms of Theros. Will need a Roll20 account, Discord account and Camera/Mic (Vid is optional but preferred).
What GraysenGM brings to the table
Through the Roll20 online system, maps will be displayed and shared through the online Journal. In addition to this, Homebrew magic items to further exaggerate your Heroic characters, I also bring to you a fully streamlined D&D game with API features activated and coded commands programmed for monsters, random encounters, and many others.
