About the adventure
The history of the world has always been stained with the history of warfare and bloodshed between the Hidden Villages. Only after the horrors unleashed by Madara during the fourth shinobi war did old hatreds and bloodlust burn away. Under the watchful eye of the then "New Generation", did the long peace did reign, three generations of unprecedented cooperation and unity, punctuated with the creation of the Shinobi Union, an organization dedicated to uphold peace between the villages, at any cost. Yet, just as any material, organizations and ideals too, rot away with time. With 80 years since Madara's defeat, the generation that oversaw the peace too faded into the background. With another generation now taking the helm, the ugly head of division and self-interest are brought to the forefront. Disputes over the compromises drawn up so long ago to promote peace and cooperation, now only breed resentment. And, with the withdrawal of the stone, cloud and mist villages from the Shinobi Union, the final vestige of the long peace now are burned away by the ambition of others. It is an uncertain time, when a new generation of Shinobi are set to graduate from the Academy, as the world seems destined to continue it teetering dance towards another great shinobi world war. Yet fate is never so certain, and if past events are a precedent, the right team at the right place, and the right time can truly make all the difference in the world... Welcome to the future generation! This will be a campaign utilizing the Naruto 5e Homebrew system to build an epic saga of freshly graduated academy students finding their own path in a turbulent world, and their journey to becoming living legends. A world, where, at the risk of sounding cliché, will be a world where player choice will guide how the story and the world evolves and progresses. If the players are up for it too, I would love to host a discord server for out of session roleplay and character moments, completely free of charge!

About me
Ever since I picked up that DMG 13 years ago, running and playing TTRPGs have been my primary passion! I love nothing more than developing and exploring the worlds and stories I build with my players, and can be found long into the nights, hunched over my PC like a TTRPG gremlin, working out how the world shifts and changes to the actions of the players. I love personalisation and homebrew, and you can bet I love working with my players and creating an environment where they each have their individual stories and character arcs, as well as one where the entire party is involved. I work to ensure that no one gets left behind, and everyone gets a chance to shine, both individually and together!

Creating your character
The characters will begin at level 1, and character creation will be handled both during a Session 0, where expectations and ideas are discussed, as well as all the way up towards the first session, where I will be more than happy to work with each player individually to weave their characters into the story/setting, as well as a rough outline of a character arc, where they want their character to go and so on. There will be plenty of personalized homebrew in the campaign, and other homebrew materials will be allowed on a case by case basis. If you have a character idea, I'd be happy to work with you on it!

What to expect
Preparing for the session
All you need is a microphone, access to discord and roll20 as well as interest in the game! If you are new to the rules, while reading ahead is appreciated, it is not required, I would be more than happy to teach the intricacies of the rules and guide thought the setting.
What Kassai brings to the table
The PDFs are all available freely, but I will provide them if required. I also bring myself, with my passion and enthusiasm for the setting, rulesets as well as the TTRPGs!

How Kassai creates a safe table
Naruto as a setting can be a pretty dark place, while my aim for this campaign preferably a serious adventure with light-hearted elements, a world that is Nobledark at worst, I am more than happy to work with the players to ensure their comfort. Session 0, as well as discussions leading up towards the game will be vital in working with the players to understand their expectations of the game, discuss the tone, etiquette and ensure the safety and comfort of players, as well as ingrain their characters in the world.
