About the adventure
Hero's are not born out of Happiness! Welcome to the World of Ilsaria, a High Fantasy world. Now returning from the brink of destruction and surviving the war of King Zackery. With the loss of the king, its inhabitants work to regain some semblance of order and protect the great lands of the kingdom of Threshold. I created this world many years ago to use with many of my adventures in the original Basic D & D Game rule set from the 80s. I have always had a nostalgic fondness for the BECMI rule set and I will Be Using This Actual rules set not a Facsimile or clone of any kind! I have found that the roll20 system is very powerful and perfect to run these rules. It has given me a fresh look at an old game. Now I can dust off my old books and all my past games waiting to be revisited in a new light by new Hero's. Being a professional artist of many facets for almost 30 years along with my love to create all things Fantasy, Roll20 has sparked my inner artist Inspiring me to create tons of new artworks for use in the world of Ilsaria & giving me the ability to make a way cooler experience for the Actual Basic D&D Game. I do believe that the Original Basic D&D system is a truly more complete system that has been underestimated in today's RPG Gaming community. This game system can give you the true D&D Experience of actually Becoming a Hero, instead of Starting as a ready-to-plug-in-super-Hero that's like every other Character in one's Party. With that and all the bells and Whistles Roll20 has to offer. it should be a great experience that I can't wait to share as I follow along with you to watch your story unfold, as your actions help me build my new, randomly generated world around your Hero.

I am Primarily a Fantasy Gamer, I enjoy more relaxed casual play. I do love a good fight, If anyone needs some support Im your Elf To Call just send me a message! I am here because I'm looking to start playing again after many years away I always liked hosting and running original Basic D & D Game rule set from the 80s. I am here to get some practice and re-hone my skills as a game master. I have put a lot of time in recently into refurbishing my game world and how it works with all the new tools of the age, now it needs a good run in and I'm looking for a small crew to help me by just playing a system that is very underrated in my opinion and is more fleshed out than most and with some tweaking i think will be pretty cool.

Creating your character
1.All players Start at average Lvl to the current players 2. I will help you make your character in game at the Hall of creation and the games lobby. 3.No Pre Characters. I will help to convert or transfer something close to what you would like. if you have or had a pre existing character just ask. 4.I do intend the characters to be rolled high as I believe in exceptional hero's, But not invincible ones! :)
Game is on going, It is a Sandbox style world Game. We have 3 Open Spot at this time: 1. The party is in great need of a Cleric!! 2. Open for any BECMI Class! 3. Open for any BECMI Class! I will post class here as they join. We Have Currently : Fighter Thief Elf and a Part Time Wizard! This game will be played every Saturday morning @ 8:30am to 12:00am PST
What to expect
Preparing for the session
1.You will need a Roll 20 account before we start. 2. you must have a functional mic and understand how to use it. any on going or recurring problems with your mic after the 2nd session I may put your character on hold. until you can fix it. after three sessions and you cant fix it I will have to look for another player to fill your slot. 3.I would like you to find a character portrait for your bio on roll20 on or before character creation. Google is a great place for it! 4.you will need to change your nick name in my Discord to Match your Character name before the first game session. 5.we will use Character Names only in session when addressing each other. 6.Serious character names only. i love a bit of immersion you'll get a better game for it! please no character names like PuffyMoo, Dillweed man, Purple Ranger etc. Please think more lord of the rings- ish for the love of all! ;) I also Have a Random Name Generator and Can Help you. 6. I have the rule book pdf in game and on discord.
What Dungeon Master brings to the table
Me ,My Game, roll20s Dice all my wonderful hand made custom maps that are in the roll 20 server, music, sounds and a ton of player tokens I would prefer you to choose from. as I have a particular look and feel to my game.
Homebrew rules
most home brew rules are in place to fuel greater enjoyment, and increase the combat speed and give more action based feel and I use the majority of the BECMI rules. also the magic has been changed to a roll to cast system and makes magic a lot more fun and less boring for wizards.

How Dungeon Master creates a safe table
I will discuss my gameplay style and make sure it will work for a person. If anyone becomes rude or obnoxious Ill ask a person to stop being unreasonable maybe twice depending on severity then there out! I will not put up with mean unruly people who like to just be a disruption, its not fair to others who want to have fun. so if you cant be chill and try to be a hero in a High Fantasy setting this is not the game for you. and I wish you good travels. Every person will be screened ahead of time. If they are not looking for this type of game, ill simply Wish them well.
