About the adventure
In the desert nation of Suthelia, The Ruby Prince, Pharao Khemet III has allowed an excursion into the Necropolis of Wati, to recover ancient relics and history from the sands of time. But what will be unearthed may well threaten the fate of the whole world. This is a dungeon delving, desert dwelling, undead destroying, mystery packed campaign. If you liked movie classics such as The Mummy or Indiana Jones. If you were a kid obsessed with Egyptian mythology. If you like dungeons and traps, lore and intrigue, saving the world from elementals and undead alike. *This is the game for you.* This is a conversion of the Mummy's Mask Adventure Path, from Pathfinder to 5e D&D. Exit Golarion and enter the high magic, high stakes homebrew world of Heliope.

About me
I have been GMing for over six years now, my games are very much player informed with a focus on what the party wants out of the story. I mostly play D&D 5e, but am eager to run more indie TTRPGs and explore the variety of the hobby. My passion is in homebrewing and world building. If you don't come out the session with a custom item or ability, I'll be surprised! Being queer and neurodivergent, safety tools are always in use, my priority is making sure everyone at the table is having fun in safe and informed ways.

Creating your character
We'll be playing in 5th Edition Dungeons & Dragons. You'll start at 1st level, at the lottery to setup for the first arc. With the possibility of continuing further, up to 17th level at the campaign's climax. I am pro homebrew and will be using a few homebrew rules, as well as monsters and setting. Optional and homebrew rules will be discussed during session 0. Beginners are welcomed and encouraged. This is a good adventure to start if this is your introduction to the system. We will create characters during session 0, and I will do my best to help you make characters suited for the campaign. Feel free to bring in a character concept and we can all work together to make them fit into a cohesive party.
We are at 5th level. The city is in turmoil, be the hero and save Wati from the undead! Play your hero from street urchin up to world savior in this long form campaign. Defeat mummies and hordes of undead, deal with ancient cults and modern politicking.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All you need is a Discord account, enthusiasm and willingness to work as a team. A character concept, with a reason to participate in the exploration of the tombs and a reason to care for the fate of the region or of the people. There is no need for a webcam, but a mic is appreciated. There is no need to buy any software, Foundry is 100% free. Your characters will all know at least one other member of the party, which we will decide during character creation.
What Aspen brings to the table
I will bring everything needed to play the game, all installed on Foundry for you to use at any point. Everyone has access to the allowed 5e materials and the homebrew we'll be using. As well as a map of the city and of the world. Each player will get a custom handout in the first game session with their character's knowledge of the city of Wati. Each character will also get a custom feat in theme with the campaign.

How Aspen creates a safe table
You'll be joining us with a party ready to adventure. We'll do a session 0 to make sure everyone is a good match and our goals align. Set expectations and boundaries, discuss the themes and content of the story and the safety tools employed. Working through any questions and requests we may have. As well as creating the characters and figuring out their motivations, before we jump into the story proper.
